How much are the I’m A Celeb stars REALLY being paid? Industry expert hints at camp-mate’s fees… and puts his own price on what Nigel Farage could earn from being on the ITV show

ITV has paid out more than £1.5million to top stars to get them on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, a brand and culture expert has claimed as the series makes a sensational return to the nation’s screens.

And Nick Ede says the amount the cast make is only going to rise as the show allows them to access lucrative endorsement opportunities post-jungle. 

The hit show has taken off with a tense start – as YouTuber Nella Rose fell out with both Fred Sirieix and Nigel Farage in a shocking series of rows.

But with a vibrant mix of celebrities, politicians and TV personalities – he says the figures will differ by more than £450,000.

And sometimes those with the loudest mouths are not the ones who end up on top…

Mr Ede says: ‘The fees that the talent going into the jungle are reportedly paid is usually over exaugurated to make headlines because all the talent who are asked know that it is a golden opportunity for them to get their personalities across and get lucrative endorsement jobs when they come out of the jungle! 

‘The value to them is post show and the success they and finances they can gain from post participation. 

‘The talent do however have to complete a certain amount of days in the jungle before they can be paid their fee!’

Nella Rose – £40,000

At the bottom of the list is Nella Rose – despite her outbursts against some of the series’ biggest names.

The Belgian-British media personality who has more than 800,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than one million followers on TikTok has been trending on X, formerly Twitter, following her disagreements with Fred Sirieix and Nigel Farage.

The London-based YouTube star labelled the French maitre d’ offensive for claiming he’s ‘old enough to be her dad’ after she previously told him her father had passed away; and told the controversial former UKIP leader he was ‘hated’ by many people for his political views. 

And Mr Ede says she is doing nothing to help her chances of making money outside the show – and could have lost herself a potential £100,000 a year.

He says she is wasting an opportunity that could have been lucrative for the TikTok sensation and brought her into the public eye.

Outside the show Nella – whose real name is Ornella Hollela – has seen two of her firms close within two years, according to Companies House.

Real estate business Kamango was incorporated in February 2022 and closed in June of the next year, while Faces London – which claimed to sell textiles, clothing, fur, footwear and leather goods – opened in August 2020 and closed in January 2022.

But in this time her main business, Nella Rose Ltd, has gone from strength to strength as she built her brand up from having just £3,631 cash in bank and in hand in 2019 to a stunning £246,345 in 2022.

And just this month she excitedly shared the news that she had moved into a stunning new home – complete with a sleek white kitchen and marble floors.

But after her arguments with fellow campmates Mr Ede said: ‘She’s not a household name and this is the perfect platform for her to become one so I think she will be the least expensive star and cost around 40K! 

‘Ideally this will have brought her some big deals post show as she has such a fabulous bubbly personality but her argument with Fred may have cost her lucrative post show earnings.

‘She makes a lot from YouTube so advertisers and subscribers and also TV appearances could have made her over £100,000 per year – but I think now she will make less than that due to to her controversial chat with Fred.’ 

Danielle Harold – £70,000

EastEnders star Danielle Harold has been flooded with support after she immediately confronted her anxiety on the ITV show.

The actress, 31, who plays Lola Pearce-Brown in the BBC soap, joined fellow campmates Sam Thompson, Grace Dent and Fred Sirieix as they were dangled from a sky scraper 100M in the air.

Danielle was terrified by the heights and fans spotted her trembling as she was forced to climb out over the edge of the building. 

Despite her fears the soap star overcame her anxiety and alongside her team mades bagged four stars for camp. 

Mr Ede says I’m A Celebrity could be a great chance for Danielle to show the public she is more than just Lola – and she will see fashion deals heading her way when the show comes to a close.

He said: ‘She’s soap royalty and I can see her wanting this show to get her real personality across – not the one we saw on EastEnders.

‘She will be getting around 70,000 but she will certainly reap rewards financially post show with lucrative fashion and lifestyle deals coming her way.’

Nick Pickard – £70,000

Hollyoaks icon Nick Pickard also made an immediate impression after entering the jungle – braving a horrific challenge and overcoming his fears as he landed in Australia.

The soapstar, 48, who plays Tony Hutchinson, was thrown straight into the deep end as he was smothered with dozens of spiders crawling over his face and body in his first challenge. 

He admitted he’d spoken fellow Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner – who finished in second place on last year’s show – before heading out to compete.

And the series’ longest-serving star of 28 years further said he had cut out alcohol for five weeks to prepare for the reality show and assured fans he was not quitting Hollyoaks for the opportunity. 

Mr Ede says Nick could see lucrative gigs flooding in after the show – when the public get to see his engaging personality burning through.

He said: ‘He’s a national treasure and even more people are loving him now he’s stepped out of Hollyoaks and into the snake pit! 

I can image he will have been offered around £70,000 to appear on the show but I can see him getting some nice gigs post the show as more and more people see his engaging personality.’

Sam Thompson – £80,000

Made in Chelsea favourite Sam Thompson has delighted fans with his bounding enthusiasm since entering the jungle.

The reality star, 31, was compared to an ‘excitable puppy’ by fans as he appeared starstruck to meet his fellow campmates.

Sam started off the series alongside Masterchef’s Grace Dent, First Dates’ Fred Siriex and EastEnders’ Danielle Harold, all of whom he greeted with huge hugs.

But the star – whose girlfriend is Love Island star Zara McDermott – has also faced criticism as he was branded ‘attention seeking’ and ‘annoying’ by viewers following the show’s launch on Sunday night.

 It sparked his best friend, TOWIE star Pete Wicks, to speak out and say fans need to ’embrace’ Sam’s excitable personality, telling MailOnline he ‘should not be defined by his ADHD and autism’.

Mr Ede says his popularity could get him a presenting job down the line – and help out Zara too as she comes off the back of her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.

He saud: ‘He’s a very popular man and this show is going to make him even more popular.

‘I can see him getting lots of presenting jobs on his own and with his reality icon girlfriend too! 

‘He will have been paid around £80,000 for his stint in the jungle.’

Grace Dent – £100,000

Food critic Grace Dent has also hit the Jungle – as a departure from her glamorous life reviewing restaurants for The Guardian.

Fans speculated she could have an awkward face-to-face with Nick as she once lambasted him in a review about his time Celebrity Masterchef – saying she would rather jump out of a car than watch him.

But Grace, 50, insisted she wasn’t worried about meeting anyone in the camp who she has previously criticised, saying her comments are always made in ‘good spirits’.

Ahead of entering the jungle, Grace shed light on her personal life, as she revealed she has lost both her parents over the past ‘four or five years’ and confessed she believes her loss will make her stronger on the show. 

Mr Ede says she was a great get for the reality show – but they must have paid her a high rate to have persuaded her to take the unexpected step.

And he says that this could help establish her as a key member of the food community and a target for ‘big money’ advertising.

He said: ‘She is a really good booking and I can see that she will have been paid around 100K to appear. 

‘This isn’t the kind of show we associate her with so I think money will have been a big factor for her to be a part of the show. 

‘Post show I can can see her securing some big money gigs like her recent advert with THIS plant based food.’

Josie Gibson – £100,000

This Morning host Josie Gibson is one of the main characters of the villa – after being confronted by both Nigel Farage’s bottom and Mavin Humes’ six pack.

The presenter is now best known as one of the rotating hosts on ITV staple This Morning, but first became a household name when she won the final Channel 4 series of Big Brother in 2010. 

Speculated to have been one of the frontrunners to replace Holly Willoughby, she was stopped in her tracks as she set eyes on his cheeks, telling the Bush Telegraph that she’s ‘seen worse’.

And Josie went wild for Marvin Humes’ six pack after he washed off in the shower.

 Mr Ede says she is close to becoming a national treasure – and I’m a Celebrity could be what pushes her over the edge into ‘iconic’ status.

He said: ‘She’s certainly going to cement her iconic status as a reality queen who is TV gold. 

‘As she is such a big part of the ITV family I can see her getting around £100,000 for her appearance as she knows shes got her. 

‘This Morning job to go back to and she will get big money deals post show for sure.’

Marvin Humes – £150,000

Former JLS star Marvin Humes has sent heartbeats racing after working out with Fred Sirieix using rocks instead of weights and later stripped down to his pants for a jungle shower.

The 38-year-old TV personality – who shares three children with former The Saturdays singer Rochelle – showed off his six pack as he exposed his abs for the fitness session.

Stunned, Josie Gibson exclaimed: ‘Bloody hell Marv is that your body? How many times a week do you work out? Jesus!’

Mr Ede says the show is helping the star cement his status as a showbiz titan.

And he says his hot bod could help him rake in the cash with a surge of brand deals when he escapes the jungle. 

He said: ‘He’s a pop superstar and he’s recently finished a sell out tour with JLS so he’s been raking it in. 

‘He will be one of the top paid stars of the show so I expect between £100,000 and £150,000 for his appearance. 

‘He’s a household name and now he’s been seen half naked – I’m sure he will have fragrance, underwear and sports endorsement deals when he leaves.’

Fred Sirieix – £150,000 

After falling victim to Nella Rose First Dates star Fred Sirieix – who she accused of ‘disrespecting’ her’ – has won fans for his composure in the jungle.

The internet star took umbrage with Fred, 51, for joking he was old enough to be her father, hours after she confided in him her dad passed away in 2020.

She told Fred: ‘I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings.’

Fred’s First Dates co-stars jumped to his defence after the scenes aired on Tuesday night, while Rylan Clark said the argument had left him ‘raging’ and the hashtag ‘Poor Fred’ began trending on X – formerly known as Twitter.

But Mr Ede says the French maître d’hôtel could be bringing home £150,000 for his stint abroad – and benefit from the experience for a long time to come.

He said: ‘He’s a TV regular and he is popular with the ITV audience.

‘I can see him earning around £150,000 for his appearance and post show expect a cooking show, cookbook and lots lots more from him – even a fitness or cosmetic brand deal too.’

 Jamie Lynn Spears – £250,000

Coming in second is Jamie Lynn Spears – the younger sister of pop icon Britney.

The singer, 32, has broken down in tears several times since she landed in the jungle and felt this trial was a chance to give back to her team who have supported her.

But she has also revealed she fears her vulnerability has resulted in her being targeted by the British public – telling Ant and Dec she believes she was voted for her her first Bushtucker Trial because she ‘cries a lot’.

The Zoey 101 and Sweet Magnolias star has also sparked hilarity – confusing the word ’emancipation’ with a far more X-rated term.

Mr Ede called her one of the biggest bookings of the show – and thinks she will have one of the highest price tags because of this.

And he says the show will be a boon for her as she can get her side of the story across as her sister’s book paints her in a poor light – including saying she was a ‘total b***h’ when she was just 11.

He said: ‘She’s a big booking and with her sister Britney being one of the most famous people on the planet I don’t think she will have done this for less than £250,000.

‘She knows it’s a good thing to get her side out as her sisters book doesn’t paint her in the best light.

‘This is her chance to win the public over so its valuable for her to be on the show.’

Nigel Farage – £500,000

Controversial contestant Nigel Farage has already made headlines after landing in Australia – and Mr Ede says he is likely to have claimed the top earning spot for his infamous personality.

The former UKIP leader and GB News host, 59. was this week branded ‘desperate’ by Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid after he stated he ‘didn’t know’ whether he would run for Prime Minister on Wednesday’s show.

Following his comments, fans speculated that Nigel had entered the jungle in a bid to win the favour of a wider audience ahead of a political comeback. 

And he was branded ‘anti immigrant’ by social media star Nella Rose, 26, as she claimed black people ‘don’t like’ him. 

Mr Ede agrees with this – saying Mr Farage is in the jungle to show the public what he is really like.

And he threw doubt on reports that he had been paid £1.5million for his showbiz stint – saying it is more likely to be closer to £500,000.

He said: ‘They say he’s been paid over a million for his stint in the jungle but I doubt this. 

‘One of the main reasons such a polarising person goes into the jungle is to reveal to the public who they really are and win them over. 

‘I think he will have been paid around 500K to appear – he’s a big name but he’s NOT a celebrity and he’s NOT a star and post show he wont be considered one either.’
