The decision was confirmed by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) last year after challenging it.

But Begum’s lawyers made another attempt to overturn that ruling Court appeal, with judges set to decide her fate today.

The jihadist bride was 15 when she left her east London home with two friends to join the bloodthirsty terror group.

She has claimed that she was a “stupid boy” when she joined ISIS and “didn’t want to be the friend left behind.”

But her lawyers have argued there is “overwhelming evidence” she was a victim of human trafficking when she fled to the war-torn country.

They said the Home office had a legal duty to investigate whether this was the case when her citizenship was revoked.

Samantha Knights QC said “the counter-terrorism unit had suspicions of coercion and control” at the time she left Britain.

She argued that this “gives rise to the need to investigate the issue of human trafficking.”

In written submissions, her legal team accused the Home Office of failing to consider whether she was “a child who was trafficked into Syria and remained there for the purpose of sexual exploitation and forced wedding“.

But Home Office lawyers said Begum “should not change her grounds again”.

David Blundell QC also argued that it is “significant” that the claim was that she “may have been traded” rather than a company she “was” traded.

The lawyer added: “Ms Begum has never stated that she is a victim of human trafficking, despite having informed about this in numerous media Job interviews and gave instructions to her lawyers on a number of matters.

“The absence of any allegation that she was actually traded means that this ground rests on an uncertain factual basis.

“It’s completely speculative.”

In its ruling, the SIAC concluded that there had been a ‘demonstrable breach of duty’ by government agencies – including the Met PoliceTower Hamlets Council and Begum School.

But it was found that there was “no direct link between possible failures of other government agencies in 2015” and the decision to strip Begum of her citizenship.

In an earlier interview, Begum complained about not being able to watch the Friends reunion at the Al-Roj jail camp.

She also talked about how she spends her time watching ITV‘S Good morning Great Britain in her tent and smashing blockbusters like Men in Black.

Shamima Begum – how she fled Britain for Syria

Begum and two friends – Kadiza Sultana And Amira Abase – fled to Syria in February 2015.

She used her older sister’s passport to flee with her Bethnal Green Academy friends.

The trio flew to Turkey and then crossed the border into Syria with the help of smugglers.

Within weeks of arriving, Shamima was married to Isis jihadi Yago Riedijk, 27, from the Netherlands.

They had two children who died of malnutrition and disease.

The couple was separated when they fled Baghouz, the village where a few hundred ISIS fighters were entrenched in a desperate last stand.

Shamima ended up in a Kurdish refugee camp where she ended up gave birth to her third child.

Eldest sister Renu revealed that her family had lost contact with her “for the longest time” yet she was found by a Times journalist.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid stripped her of her British citizenship to prevent her from ever returning.

Then beg lost a legal battle to return to Britain for a judicial appeal over the revocation of her British citizenship in February 2021.

The High Court ruled unanimously in favor of the government, saying she cannot return to Britain for a court case to reclaim her British passport, for the safety of the public.

Lord Reed said her legal bid to reclaim her British citizenship should be postponed until she is no longer considered a threat to national security.

Begum launched an appeal to the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) in 2022 while languishing in a refugee camp.

She later lost this bid, but her lawyers launched a new bid at the Court of Appeal.

During her time in Syria, she married an ISIS fighter and had three children, all of whom have since died.

But after the evil regime collapsed, Begum ended up in a refugee camp.

And shortly afterwards the Minister of the Interior Sajid Javid stripped her of her British citizenship to prevent her from ever coming back.

Begum has previously said she did not regret joining the death cult and was not shocked by seeing discarded heads in rubbish bins.

She also told how she sewed ISIS bombers into their suicide vests.
