Have you undergone fertility treatment?

0

Because women are having children later in life, the number of patients undergoing in vitro fertilization treatment has increased significantly.

The medical treatment can be life-changing, but it also comes at a price, as some couples go deeply into debt to pay for medical care that health insurance does not always cover. Some studies have questioned the effectiveness of newer aspects of fertility treatments such as genetic screenings, and some patients have filed lawsuits to claim that defective chemicals destroyed their embryos. Private equity firms, seeing the industry's rapid growth, have been too buy up some of the largest fertility clinics in the country.

The New York Times is looking for readers who can share their recent experiences with in vitro fertilization treatments. By listening to patients, we can better understand where to focus our reporting.

We will not publish any part of your response to this questionnaire without first talking to you. We will not share your contact information outside the Times newsroom and we will only use it to contact you.
