Jake Paul to Refund Over $1.5 Million, Revealing Reason for Serrano Fight Withdrawal

JAKE PAUL will refund more than $1.5 million worth of tickets after Amanda Serrano was dramatically forced out of her fight at the last minute.

The Puerto Rican icon would make her homecoming in San Juan in an undisputed featherweight title defense against Nina Meinke.

Her YouTuber-turned-boxer manager and promoter Paul knocked out Ryan Bourland in the first round of the co-headliner.

But news began to trickle in that Serrano had suffered an eye injury that would sensationally force her out of the fight.

And after knocking out Paul in the first round, she entered the ring wearing glasses to cover her face and looked devastated.

Serrano was clearly heartbroken as she confirmed that doctors refused to declare her fit to fight, meaning she had to withdraw at the last minute.

Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that the record-breaking $1.5 million gate would all be refunded.

Bidarian said: “Jake, I and Amanda have made the decision to refund 100 percent of the $1,511,000 to all fans in attendance who request a refund.”

And Bidarian revealed how Serrano’s hair appointment two days after the fight ultimately caused the bizarre injury.

He added: “What happened there on Thursday night was Amanda Serrano getting her hair done.

“On Friday, while she was running, a chemical got into her eye so she wore glasses to the weigh-in.

“We were trying to determine what happened. She saw a doctor Friday evening and all Saturday we tried to direct her eye to a place she was comfortable with.

“She came to the arena to fight and when the commission doctors examined her, they said she was unfit to fight.

“The committee did not allow her to enter the ring and do what she wanted to do most, which was fight for her fans on this island.”
