In his boxing career to date, The Problem Child’s only defeat came at the hands of Tommy Fury in February 2023.
Since then, Paul defeated Nate Diaz and eliminated Andre August.
His next fight is against Bourland – an ex-Golden Gloves champion and junior Olympic boxer who hung up his gloves and traded the sport for working on oil rigs in 2018 – who has a record of 17-2.
And while many people have suggested that Paul is all about the money, this time he’s fighting for experience and donating his prize money to charity.
Paul released a statement on Instagram saying: “I fight for experience, not for the money, and to show my love for this beautiful island (Puerto Rico), I am donating my entire fight bag from this event to my non-members .-profit Boxing Bullies to help renovate gyms in Puerto Rico.”
Meanwhile, Bourland’s official wallet is unknown.
When is the Jake Paul vs. Ryan Bourland fight?
The fight between Jake Paul and Ryan Bourland is on the undercard of Amanda Serrano’s featherweight fight against Nina Meinke – on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The venue for the event is the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and will be broadcast live on DAZN.
The ring walks for Paul and Bourland are expected to start around 3am UK time (Sunday morning) and 10pm ET (Saturday evening).
The main card starts at 12:00 GMT in the UK and 7:00 PM ET in the US.
