Jimmy Kimmel denied and clapped back Aaron Rodgers for claiming he had ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
“Dear A-hole: For the record, I have not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the obviously fake nonsense that soft-brained brainiacs like you seem indistinguishable from reality,” Kimmel, 56, wrote via X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, January 2. “Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep up the good work and we will discuss the facts further in court. @AaronRodgers12.”
Kimmel’s comments came hours after Rodgers, 40, appeared on Tuesday’s episode The Pat McAfee Show. While chatting on the sports internet show, Rodgers talked about a conspiracy theory about how the NFL’s Super Bowl decals predict which teams will play the big game that season. Because the show’s panel was perplexed by cohost Rodgers’ opinion AJ Hawk jokingly asked if the quarterback’s point had anything to do with an alleged list of Epstein’s associates.
“There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping that list doesn’t come true,” Rodgers responded.
McAfee reminded viewers that Kimmel mocked Rodgers for his invested interest in the theory and joked that the New York Jets star was “waiting in his wine cellar” for the news.
“I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I’ll definitely crack open a bottle,” Rodgers added.
