Fans of filmmaker Jordan Peele will have to wait a little longer for his next film, as it has been pushed back to 2024.
Universal previously set a Christmas 2024 release date for the untitled project, but now The cover reports that the studio has pushed it out of 2024 entirely.
The studio has not yet set a new release date, although the delay is reportedly for “strike-related” reasons.
The news comes just months after it was announced that the 44-year-old director is teaming up with Selena Gomez for an adaptation of the graphic novel Coyotes.
The film would go up against Focus Features’ Nosferatu, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Willem Dafoe.

Peele first began his career as an actor, starring in the Comedy Central series Key & Peele with Keegan Michael Key, which he co-created with his co-star.
His breakthrough as a filmmaker came with 2017’s Get Out, which grossed $176.1 million domestically and $255.7 million worldwide on a budget of just $4.5 million.
He also won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, becoming the first black writer to win the coveted prize.
Peele followed that up with 2019’s Us, which earned $175 million domestic and $256 million worldwide on a $20 million budget.
His most recent film Nope was released last summer and grossed $123.3 million domestically and $171.2 million worldwide, out of a worldwide gross of $68 million.
