Lacey Chabert and Scott Wolf Reunite for New Hallmark Movie: Details

Lacey Chabert And Scott Wolf played siblings for six seasons Party of Five – and the pair are reunited 23 years later is Hallmark’s 2023 Countdown to Christmas.

Chabert, 40, and Wolf, 55, who played Claudia and Bailey Salinger respectively on the Fox series from 1994 to 2000, will star as another sister-brother duo for the new original film. “Scott and I have talked about doing another project together for years. When we first read this story about these siblings at a crossroads, we both knew this was the perfect opportunity,” Chabert said in an official statement on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Wolf, for his part, is just as excited to share the screen with his old friend.

“Working with Lacey on Party of Five was one of my favorite experiences ever,” said de Nancy drew actor gushed on Tuesday. “Coming back together after all these years to tell such a beautiful story together is a dream that I am so happy to come true.”

The film follows estranged siblings Lindsay (Chabert) and Brad (Wolf) as they travel to Scotland for Christmas to reunite with their mother, Jo (Fiona Bell). Once arrived, however, a big family secret is revealed – and it could change everything.

“We are so excited to reunite Lacey and Scott and know our viewers will fall in love with this movie,” said Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media, Tuesday. “The nostalgia of seeing Lacey and Scott back on screen together will be a special holiday treat for our viewers.”

While Wolf is relatively new to the Hallmark family, he played in 2019 A Christmas love story opposite Kristin Chenoweth – Chabert, for her part, has made her mark over the years in more than 25 films for the network.

“These movies mean so much to me. I’m really sincere when I say that,” Chabert shared exclusively Us weekly in October 2021 on making Hallmark movies for both the holiday season and throughout the year. “It’s not just jobs and I feel a responsibility to the public to make the absolute best film I can.”

The Mean girls star commented at the time that she tried to “raise the bar” with each project to keep fans coming back for more.

“[When] someone lets you in their living room for two hours, it’s kind of an honor,” said Chabert Us. “I want to leave people with a good feeling.”

Wolf, meanwhile, starred as Carson Drew on The CW’s Nancy drew since 2019. That same year, he got candid with us about revisiting scenes from his Party of Five days – a family drama known for its emotional beats.

“There is a certain scene where [my character] Bailey falls to the sword for the family for the last time, saying he’s not going to school so he’s staying home [my sister] julia (No Campbell) can go to school and that he’s okay,’ Wolf said. “There was something like… I’m emotional now when I talk about it! After all this time, they wrote this beautiful scene in between [brothers] Charlie (Matthew Fox) and Bailey, it so encapsulated who he was throughout the whole thing, it was really, really moving to watch because I forgot about the scene.

Despite his children not being able to fully watch the series yet, Wolf shares sons Jackson, 14, and Miller, 10, as well as daughter Lucy, 9, with wife Kelly Limp — he confessed that he’s considered allowing them to tune in because of the show’s relatability, even today.

“I think she [his children] to belong Party of Five said so many times that it looms in the background of our lives, to finally give that thing a face would be cool,” he shared Us. “I talk to people all the time who watch it with their families and they say the stories are so human, authentic and timeless. It was a really cool conversation starter for parents with their kids at the time, I think I would benefit from that too.
