90s supermodel Linda Evangelista, 58, who was once considered one of the most beautiful and striking beauties in the world, has spoken about the guilt she once felt after undergoing a surgical procedure.

Speak with the times, she discussed how he noticed that before the procedure she was always having fun and always laughing.

But after that, she says, she was a “clinically depressed recluse,” only venturing out at night where no one would see her.

The treatment consisted of seven sessions of a non-surgical procedure called CoolSculpting, which aimed to freeze away fat from her jawline, thighs, abdomen and back.

It had gone terribly wrong and instead it had thickened and “grown into hard, numb bulges that rounds of liposuction and weeks of full-body compression garments couldn’t fix.”

According to the Times, it was a comment from Linda’s son Augie a few years ago that encouraged her to return to therapy so she could become the cheerful character she always was.

He said, ‘Do you remember when you were so cute? Do you remember when you always laughed?’ This was a ‘wake-up call’

Linda has struggled with a number of issues, including breast cancer, for which she underwent a double mastectomy in 2018, but will have to undergo radiotherapy in 2018.

Sh added, “I was like, I’m not having contractions anymore. I’m going to fucking fix this.’

The supermodel has been at the center of a number of further personal controversies in recent years, and the botched surgery is just one.

Speaking recently on the first episode of Kirsty Young’s new BBC Radio 4 podcast Young Again, she reflected on her marriage to Gerald Marie at the age of 22, and branded her younger self an ‘idiot’ for marrying so young got married.

She broke down in tears while discussing allegations of rape and sexual misconduct against her ex-husband, the former boss of Elite Models, which first surfaced in 2020.

She broke down in tears while discussing the allegations of rape and sexual misconduct against her ex-husband, the former boss of Elite Models, which first came to light in 2020. The allegations, which Marie denies, relate to the 1980s and 1990s and, due to a statute of limitations in France, the police announced earlier this year that they were ending the investigation.

Speaking about the allegations, Evangelista, who was married to Marie for five years, says she wonders whether things could have been different if she had spoken out about the abuse she says she suffered from him at the time.

She tearfully told Young, “If I had spoken up and said something about what happened to me, maybe they would have come forward at that point and the statute of limitations wouldn’t have expired.”

She added that she felt “guilty” for not speaking up sooner, but Young was quick to point out that she shouldn’t take the blame for things her ex-husband allegedly did.

When the supermodel recalled marrying Marie when she was 22 years old and he was 37, she said, “I was so sure that this man loved me, this charming, charming, sweet man.”

She added that she was “naive” and encouraged all young women now in the same situation to “listen to your parents,” as she wished at the time.

At the time the allegations against her ex-husband came to light, the supermodel supported Marie’s accusers and praised them for speaking out.

She stated in the documentary The Super Models: ‘Thanks to the strength of all these women who came forward, God bless them all, it now gave me the courage to speak…

“I would like to see justice served. I would love for holes like that to think twice and be afraid, and I would like women to know they are not alone.”

While revealing her guilt to the podcast host, Evangelista added that she has undergone therapy to deal with the allegations against her ex-husband, and has learned that none of the accusations about his behavior are due to her own actions.

Reflecting on the fact that she does not have her old figure back even after two attempts to correct it through liposuction, the supermodel said that she is learning to live with and love her new body.

At the end of the episode, a statement from Gerald Marie, released by his legal team, read: “Allegations that he committed crimes against models in the 1980s and 1990s are false and defamatory.” It added that he “is and will remain innocent.”

Regarding the claims that he abused Evangelista during their five-year marriage, Marie’s lawyers say he “strongly objects to the defamatory and false allegations made against him.”
