Macaulay Culkin had three very special guests at the Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony: Fiance Brenda Song and their two sons.
Culkin, 43, was honored with a star on the famous Los Angeles street on Friday, December 1, and spoke about his family in a speech.
“Last but not least, I would like to thank Brenda. You are absolutely everything. You are my champion,” he said public, referring to the 35-year-old actress. “You are the only person happier for me today than I am. You are not only the best woman I have known, you are the best person I have ever known.
Culkin began to tear up as he thanked Song. “You gave me my whole purpose, you gave me family,” he added. “And after the birth of our two boys, you became one of my three favorite people. You are there somewhere. I love you so much.”
Culkin and Song met in 2017, almost four years before they quietly welcomed their first child. Son Dakota, named after Culkin’s late sister who died in 2008, was born in April 2021. Less than a year later We weekly confirmed that Culkin and Song were engaged.
Us In March, news broke that the couple had secretly welcomed their second son, Carson, the previous winter. Both Dakota and Carson attended Friday’s ceremony.
Song and Dakota, 2, posed next to Culkin for the official photos. The couple twinned in black, while the toddler wore a blue suit and mohawk. Carson, 11 months, was not in the official family portrait but was seen sitting on his mother’s lap during the speeches. Carson, dressed in a cute sleeveless blazer, sucked on a purple pacifier while Culkin kissed his forehead.
The Song-Culkin family sat in the front row next to famous friends including Catherine O’Harawho played Culkin’s movie mother in the Home alone franchise, and Natasha Lyonne. Paris JacksonCulkin’s goddaughter, also attended the event.
O’Hara, 69, even gave a moving speech in honor of Culkin.
“Home alone was, is and always will be a beloved global sensation. The reason… is because of Macaulay Culkin,” she said. “Yes, he had an excellent script and a great director, but it is Macaulay’s perfect performance as Kevin McAllister that brought us that little boy on an extraordinary adventure. I know you worked really hard, but you made acting seem like the most normal thing in the world.
O’Hara added, “Thank you for including me, your fake mother who left you home alone not once, but twice, to share in this happy occasion.” I am so proud of you.”
Culkin referred Home alone in his own speech, in which he quoted one of his most famous lines. “Merry Christmas, you filthy beasts,” Culkin concluded to widespread cheers and laughter.
