Brave Mackay car owner stopped intruders from stealing her car after she launched an astonishing verbal tirade that scared them off

A woman who was woken up by thieves in the middle of the night managed to prevent them from stealing her car after calling the police, grabbing a knife and shouting at the perpetrators.

Mandy Grace, from Mackay, Queensland, woke up on Sunday evening after three intruders broke into her home with a hammer and took her car keys.

Ms Grace quickly ran outside after calling the police before launching into a vicious tirade at the men.

CCTV captured the moment Ms Grace shouted at a man in the car to 'get out' as she repeatedly hit the vehicle with her fist.

Ms Grace's doorbell camera initially caught the men lurking outside before they broke in to try to take the keys.

One intruder was able to get into the car before Ms Grace stormed out and started shouting.

'Get out of my car, c***! Get the hell away,” she demanded.

'Get it, you m***********! Go away!'

The nervous intruder began to panic as Mrs Grace spun around the car and somehow managed to jam the key into the ignition before giving up the fight.

“I will do that,” you hear the man shout back on the footage.

At that point, Mrs. Grace went back inside to get a knife and when she came back out, the man had already fled.

“I've worked so hard for the things I own,” she says told 7News.

“For someone to take that away just made me angry.”

The intruders have yet to be apprehended by the police.
