A man has died in hospital after being shot in the face in an apartment.
The 50-year-old was shot in the face on Monday after a man entered a flat on Haslingden Close in Old Swan, Liverpool.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance with a serious gunshot wound to his face, where he died this afternoon.
Shay Walker, 25, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Chief Inspector Jason Pye said: “Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family of the victim who sadly passed away today.
“Although a man has been charged, our investigation is ongoing and we are still appealing for anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.
“We understand that one incident is one too many, and I would like to reassure everyone that we are doing everything we can to remove guns from our communities and that we are determined and relentless in our efforts to tackle such violent crimes and the use of firearms. prevent. .
“We are using every piece of legislation and focusing our resources on removing guns from our streets and targeting those who want to use them.
“This includes the use of dispersal zones, public space protection orders, criminal behavior orders and, where necessary and proportionate, our powers to stop and search.
“We simply will not tolerate the use of firearms in Merseyside and will ruthlessly pursue anyone who uses them to cause fear and harm at the heart of our communities.”
