Rashford behavior 'inexcusable'

Chris Sutton says Marcus Rashford's behavior before returning against Wolves was “inexcusable”.

The Sky Sports pundit believes the England striker has “crossed the line” by disrespecting his Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.

Rashford called in sick but it was later discovered he had partied hard in Belfast the night before.

Ex-Prem title winner Sutton said: “We all know he is a talented player but he has lost his way recently.

“Erik ten Hag called him up and I thought his departure to Belfast would be a big problem. I thought it was inexcusable.

“It's his third offense and his third offense. The culture in the Manchester United dressing room has not been good for a while.

“From the outside we have seen the Jadon Sancho stuff.

“We saw how Ten Hag handled Cristiano Ronaldo last season and at the end of it I thought that would be it. The manager won that battle and I thought everything would settle down. That wasn't the case.”

Hojlund thinks goals will continue to roll

Rasmus Hojlund believes his goal tally will snowball.

The Dane put the long wait for a Premier League goal behind him with the second goal in Thursday's 4-3 win over Wolves.

He told TNT Sports: “I think there's an old saying about strikers: if you get the first one, they keep rolling.

“This is a messy one, but I have to be there and it's a good cross from Luke [Shaw].

“I think my role is to find the spaces where I can be free and normally the manager wants me to go up front to create space at the back. It's very important.”

Lisandro stokes fitness fears

Lisandro Martinez was spotted with his foot in bandages after playing against Wolves.

The Manchester United defender appeared to injure his left foot during the 4-3 win over Molineux.

After being withdrawn by Erik ten Hag, he was spotted receiving treatment in the away duo.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted a member of United's medical team bandaging Martinez's left foot. The potential injury is a concern following his recent return to action.

Martinez had been sidelined since September with a foot injury before returning against Tottenham two games ago.

His injury problems have limited the World Cup winner to just nine appearances so far this season. The Red Devils are already without fellow defenders Tyrell Malacia and Victor Lindelof, who are stepping up their comeback on the training field.
