Two men have been shot in a saloon in Sydney’s inner west, including a 20-year-old who was seriously injured.

Emergency services were called to Adel’s Salon on Marrickville Road in Marrickville after shots were fired just before 2pm on Friday.

The two men were treated for gunshot wounds by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

The 20-year-old is in critical condition, while the other man, 33, is stable, police said.

The younger man was shot in the chest, while the second man was hit in the lower back.

Police are investigating whether the shooting is related to two burning cars in Marrickville and Dulwich Hill.

Firefighters were called to Norwood Lane in Marrickville to find a burning car and managed to put out the blaze before a nearby building was damaged.

A few minutes later it was also reported that a car was on fire on Hercules Street in Dulwich Hill.

A crime scene has been created and will be investigated by specialist forensic investigators.

A blood-soaked towel was also found at the scene as a shirtless man was carried away on a stretcher.

The shooting comes just ten days after drug lord Alen Moradian was shot dead in the front seat of his car in Bondi Junction in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

The 48-year-old was shot shortly before 8:30 a.m. on June 27 in the underground parking garage of an apartment building next to the Holiday Inn on Spring Street.

A burnt-out car was later found 15 minutes’ drive away in James St, Zetland, while the gunman or gunmen have not been located.
