At least five people, some under the age of 18, were shot at a Texas flea market Sunday afternoon — and the gunman is still on the run.

Police said the gunman opened fire at Cole’s Antique Village & Flea Market in Pearland, near Houston, on North Main Street just south of the Beltway just after 5:30 p.m.

It is not known what led to the shooting. All five people who were shot were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The Houston Police Department and Harris County Precinct 2 Constable are assisting the Pearland Police Department in the response. No description of the shooter has yet been released.

Pearland Police Department Public Information Officer Chad Rogers said the area remains an active scene and has asked the public to stay away from the area.
