McDonald’s is cutting the price of two popular menu items, but you’ll have to be quick to score a bargain

McDonald’s is offering two favorite menus at a discounted price at its UK outlets – but diners will need to order quickly to grab a bargain, as the offer is only available today.

The fast food giant is selling its breakfast sandwich for £1.19 this morning – a 60 per cent saving on the usual price (£2.89).

It consists of bacon, a sausage patty, cheese and an egg, all in a white bun, with the choice of brown sauce or ketchup.

Then, from 11am, diners can pick up a McPlant for £1.39, a saving of 70 per cent off the burger’s standard menu price (£3.39).

The vegan option consists of a vegetable patty in addition to all other toppings, including sauce, dairy-free cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion, in a classic McDonald’s sesame seed bun.

McDonald’s fans can grab two bargains today at outlets across the UK using the fast food chain’s app

Customers should note that the reduced prices are only available through the McDonald’s app.

Using the app, diners can sign up for the MyMcDonald’s Rewards program.

This means they can earn points for every purchase, with one penny spent rewarding one point.

So if you buy the McPlant today at the discounted price of £1.39 you’ll get 139 points.

When users reach certain milestones, they are offered rewards.

When customers reach 1,500 points, they can choose between menu items, including small fries, a hash brown, or a side dish.

With 2,500 points, a Double Cheeseburger or Vegetable Deluxe is up for grabs.

Finally, with 4,000 points, customers can choose between other menu favorites, including six Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac.

According to McDonald’s, the donations will be used to “support the company’s commitment to funding and supporting youth work, alongside reducing food poverty and waste in the UK.”

To take advantage of today’s offers and earn points, customers can download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store here. Then they need to sign up and sign up for MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The McDonald’s breakfast is available from 5 AM to 11 AM and the McDonald’s lunch menu is available daily from 11 AM.
