Crash in Medindie: Woman dies after being hit by a car while a man she knows faces charges

A woman has died after being hit by a car driven by a well-known man.

According to South Australian police, the fatal collision happened in Adelaide around 8pm on Saturday.

The 32-year-old woman from the northern suburb of Medindie was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit, but died shortly afterwards.

A man, aged 33, also from Medindie, has been charged with death by dangerous driving, careless driving and endangering life.

The suspect has been released on bail and has been given a court hearing in March.

Major crash officers and investigators have responded to the scene.
