2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS facelift: Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz is all set to kick off 2024 in India with the launch of the GLS facelift, which will be launched on January 8, 2024, according to reports. Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift is the brand’s flagship SUV and gets a cosmetic upgrade and new features. The facelift model of the flagship seven-seater SUV, Mercedes Benz GLS, gets cosmetic upgrades on the exterior and new features.

It will be available in Catalana Brown and Bahia Brown upholstery options. Finish options include high-gloss brown basswood and flowing lines in Manufaktur piano lacquer.

Mercedes-Benz GLS Price

The GLS facelift is expected to be priced at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom). Once launched, the updated Mercedes-Benz GLS will compete with other luxury flagship SUVs such as the BMW X7, Audi Q8, Volvo XC90 and Land Rover Discovery in India.

Expected features of the Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift

In the GLS facelift, the 4 horizontal slats in the grille have been given a silver shadow finish compared to the existing model. Newly designed LED headlights can be found at both ends of the grille. In addition, the car has a newly designed front bumper and new rear lights with air intake grilles and a high-gloss black frame. Three new horizontal block patterns in the rear lights give the car a new look. In addition, new 20-inch alloy wheels in the color Himalaya Gray have been installed in the new GLS.

More changes will be seen in the cabin of the facelifted GLS. It gets a center-mounted touchscreen infotainment system with driver instrument cluster, running on the latest version of MBUX with 3 different display modes: Classic, Sporty and Discreet.

The changes to the design of the new GLS will be evolutionary in nature. The front grille is revised and enlarged with four horizontal slats, finished in Silver Shadow. The headlights get a revised LED pattern, while the front bumper is re-profiled with a new air intake design and gloss black bezels. In addition, the new GLS is equipped with new 20-inch wheels in Himalaya Gray.

In addition, a new ‘Off-Road’ mode has been added to the luxury car, which sends a 360-degree camera to the front visual screen. It gets the company’s signature transparent hood, which helps in off-road conditions.

Mercedes-Benz GLS facelift engine

The new GLS Facelift is expected to feature a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine in the GLS 450 4Matic, and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine in the GLS 400d 4Matic. The 9-speed automatic gearbox and 4Matic AWD system will be standard on both versions of the GLS facelift. Prices are expected to be over Rs 1.3 crore, ex-showroom, India.
