The Mexican-born socialite, who was forced to dismiss ‘malicious’ rumors of an affair with Prince Frederick of Denmark, begged the Spanish press to ‘find me a boyfriend’ days before they were photographed together in Madrid.

Actress Genoveva Casanova, 47, admitted: “I’ve been alone for almost eight years now.”

She added: ‘I have met people, but my main demand at the moment, and it has been that way for a while, is that there is love – we really love each other.

“What you value most in life is that someone loves you.”

Before the gorgeous blonde admitted she was looking for love, she joked: “I need to drink more tequila, I need more parties.”

Speaking to the Spanish press as she attended an event in Madrid on October 19, six days before her Madrid outing with 55-year-old Frederik, the stunning blonde insisted: ‘I am the most boring woman’ and implored reporters: ‘I find someone, please’.

While the glamorous socialite insists she has only been single for ten years, the rumor mill is awash with news of ex-boyfriends just like last year.

Following the end of her two-year marriage to actor Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, 60, in 2008, the divorcee has also been linked to Mexican singer Luis Miguel, although the pair have never confirmed whether they were in a relationship.

She was also linked to Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a senior policy advisor at the UNHCR, before coming into contact with Spain’s former justice minister, José María Michavila, after his wife’s death.

And after her most recent romance with agricultural businessman José Manuel Gayán Pacheco last year, perhaps her most controversial affair of all: an alleged romance with a Danish royal family.

Yesterday, Genoveva’s lawyers issued a stark statement denying that she had a romantic relationship with Prince Frederik after photos of them together in Madrid were published by Spanish magazine Lecturas.

They enjoyed a stroll through Madrid’s Retiro Park after visiting an exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum before heading to a nearby Michelin-starred restaurant called El Corral de la Moreria for dinner that same evening.

Frederick, who had been without a wife for 19 years, Crown Princess Mary, is said to have left Spain the next morning after being taken to the airport in an embassy car.

Divorcee Genoveva’s attempts to put an end to speculation about her relationship with the father-of-four failed today after it emerged she had flown to Denmark shortly before their meeting in Madrid.

She attended American country singer and songwriter Luke Combs’ concert in the capital Copenhagen on October 4 and visited the National Museum of Denmark, the country’s largest museum of cultural history.

Genoveva, whose ex-husband Cayetano Martinez de Irujo is one of five sons of the late mega-rich aristocrat the Duchess of Alba, wrote alongside photos she posted on October 6 of her trip: “Incredible Copenhagen.

‘I attended the @lukecombs concert and gave it my all and was introduced to the collection of items my great-grandfather donated to the National Museum.

“He personally bought them from his boats across the Atlantic, being the travel and adventure enthusiast that he was. Now I know where my character comes from’.

She used a laughing emoticon to end her message to her 67,500 Instagram fans, alongside photos of some museum exhibits and a local meditating bare-chested in a park, as well as selfies of her at the packed Luke Combs concert and next to one of The famous canals of Copenhagen.

Hello! reported today that Genoveva, who has lived in Spain for almost 25 years and recently took part in the Spanish TV series Masterchef Celebrity, had traveled to Denmark with her 22-year-old son Luis.

She turned 47 yesterday but reportedly left her home in a chic area of Madrid, near Retiro Park, before her birthday after being forced to respond to rumors of an affair with Prince Frederick.

She is known to be enjoying summer holidays at a palace in the Basque city of San Sebastian, owned by her ex-husband, but her whereabouts are currently unknown.

The ex-couple was married from 2005 to 2007 and has two children together.

The Spanish author and actor is one of five sons of the late Duchess of Alba, who was worth an estimated £2.2 billion, was one of Europe’s wealthiest aristocrats and was a direct royal descendant of King James II of England.

They divorced in 2008 but have maintained a friendly relationship and she says they still speak every day.

Her accusations of romance denial came as Spanish King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia met Prince Frederik and his wife during the third day of their state visit to Denmark.

Genoveva, told Hola! before her lawyer issued a statement denying the romance rumors: “I categorically deny the claims indicating a romantic relationship between me and Prince Frederik.

“Any claim of this kind is not only completely false, but also maliciously misrepresents the facts.

“This is already in the hands of my lawyer, who will take the necessary steps to protect my rights to honor, truth and privacy.”

The Spanish magazine had previously reported that Prince Frederick asked Genoveva to accompany him to an exhibition at the Madrid museum they visited after a friend pulled out at the last minute due to illness.

The future King of Denmark and his wife met in Australia during the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Mary Donaldson, then a 28-year-old advertising executive from Tasmania, had no idea the real identity of the handsome European tourist she had been talking to for hours.

They announced their engagement at Amalienborg Castle on October 8, 2023.

The couple share four children, Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, and twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, 12.
