MICHELLE Mone insisted she would get no money from a PPE deal – before receiving £29million, leaked emails reveal.
The Tory peer, 52, and her husband Doug Barrowman, 58are being investigated for their part in the £200 million deal.
The leaked messages reveal that she was asked to provide guarantees about her independence from PPE MedPro, a consortium set up by Mr Barrowman to supply the NHS during the pandemic.
An email the bra tycoon sent to a Cabinet official said: “I can confirm that I have no conflict whatsoever in assisting the company in obtaining orders.
“I am not a shareholder and am not entitled to any financial compensation or financial benefit.”
She also insisted her husband was a “very philanthropic person”, adding: “He is passionate about the NHS.”

A trust for the Baroness and her children is said to have received £29 million from PPE MedPro.
A spokesperson for the couple said: “The messages have been taken out of context.
“Doug and Michelle deny any wrongdoing and have not been charged with any criminal offence.”
Baroness Mone, 52, who was appointed by the Lords David Cameron takes leave of absence from the House of Lords in 2015.
She also faced calls to be expelled from the Senate.
