Notts Police wrote a letter Emma Webber and said a special constable was fired for viewing footage of Barnaby and Grace being treated by medics on his laptop – despite having no professional reason to do so.

Emma Webber told LBC: “The police finally gave us details yesterday because we asked the chief constable and we got a letter last night with details because we've heard lots of different versions of it.

“We apologized for not being notified in advance, and then we were given details of how seriously they are taking this. The officers have been specially trained and lessons will be learned from this.

“But that doesn't really help the pain of knowing that people on the street were watching my son's bodycam footage and I will never forgive them.”

Another officer, PC Matthew Gell, was cautioned at a hearing last month sharing information about the case in a text message.

Murderer Calocane will have his sentence reviewed for being “excessively lenient” after slaughtering three during a raid.

The Attorney General has now referred his sentence to the court Court appealed after she found it “excessively lenient”.

Victoria Prentis has asked top judges if the term could be extended to allow Calocane to face charges jail if he were released from the maximum security prison.

Under the current order, the triple murderer could be released if his mental health improves and the attorney general and doctors believe he no longer poses a risk to the public.

But no hybrid order was issued stating that Calocane would have to go to jail if he is released from the hospital.

The move was today welcomed by the victims' families, who previously said Calocane “got away with murder”.

In a joint statement, they said: “We were very pleased to hear that the Attorney General agrees with us that the sentence imposed on Valdo Calocane, who so viciously and calculatedly murdered our loved ones, was wrong.

'We are optimistic that when this reaches the Royal Courts of Justice for appeal, there will be an outcome that provides some of the appropriate justice we have been asking for.

“It is important to remember that this is just part of the tragic failures in this case. The research into the mental health trust, the CPS and Nottingham and Leicestershire Police are still continuing.

“We argue that there are serious shortcomings across all three agencies that need to be fully addressed.”

Prosecutors ruled that Calocane could not be held fully responsible for his actions because of his paranoid schizophrenia.
