Critics slam mum who buys ‘OTT wedding dress’ for daughter’s big day
A mother is brutally murdered after sharing the ‘OTT’ tulle dress she was considering wearing on her daughter’s big wedding day.
Planning your outfit as a wedding guest is no easy task – so mother of the bride decided to see what her daughter thought of her beautiful gown.

The showstopper of the tulle maxi number was a fabulous light peach dress, enchanted with sparkling embellishments and floral details around the plunging neckline.
Meanwhile, the thin spaghetti straps also featured light pearl detailing throughout and the open back featured a corset-style ribbon in springy yellow.
However, after the bride showed photos of the dress to her fiancé, he was anything but satisfied and insisted the gown was not suitable for a wedding guest.
The daughter took to Reddit to share her dilemma and sought advice in a post, where she also uploaded images of the light peach dress.
“Hey everyone, I’m the bride and my mom sent me this dress that she wants to wear to my wedding.
“My fiancé says it’s too bridal, but I’m not sure and would like other people’s opinions.”

According to the bride, who claimed she had never attended a wedding ceremony, the dress code was ‘formal’ and she even included a photo of the beautiful dress she found for herself.
“I’ve never been to a wedding before, so I’m really not the best with this kind of thing.”
Dozens of fellow Reddit users then flocked to the comments, where they shared their thoughts — and unfortunately for the mom, people were quick to snap at her choice of clothing.
For example, many felt that the tulle dress was far too ‘bridal’ and too ‘over the top’ in their eyes.
“That looks like a wedding dress to me!” said one social media user.
Someone else agreed, adding, “Mommy has main character syndrome. That’s a hard no.”
Another chimed in: ”Gravitas and decorum call for a little bit more modesty for that age.
”She needs to realize that it’s not her wedding and that your wedding is not an excuse to larp [Live Action Role Play] like a twenty-something fairy.”
”Is this a joke? It looks like a bridal negligee! Very inappropriate all around!” A fourth was stunned.
However, not everyone was negative about the wedding guests’ attire, as one Reddit user decided to ‘go against the grain’ and hit back at the clothing critics.
”I think it’s beautiful and as I looked at it I was happy that someone’s mother felt confident enough to rock such a modern dress.
”Most MOB dresses are old and shabby. This dress wouldn’t bother me at all and I love it!” wrote the person who thought no one would ”distract from the bride”.
After the bride’s post took the platform by storm, the daughter also shared an update – and luckily for the trolls, there will reportedly be a discussion about finding an alternative.
The bride said: ‘Thanks everyone for the advice! I’ll talk to my mom about wearing a different dress.”
