Shoppers see ‘gorgeous’ £3 floral bouquet for Mother’s Day and they’ll ‘last for ages’
MOTHER’S Day has officially arrived – and if you haven’t had the chance to buy a bouquet of flowers for your mother, or someone special, yet, then the money-conscious shoppers are coming to the rescue.
While many retailers offer beautifully arranged flowers, these are often expensive, especially around Mother’s Day – but luckily bargain hunters have found just the perfect deal.

According to them, you can treat your mother – or even yourself – to a ‘beautiful’ bouquet of flowers from a popular supermarket without spending a fortune.
The best part? Not only are the flowers stunning and sure to brighten up any day, but customers rave about the quality, claiming the flowers won’t wither for ‘days’.
To inform fellow money-conscious shoppers, an anonymous person took to Facebook, where they shared the incredible find on the website Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
The beautiful bouquet in which the customer revealed himself the mailwas from Lidl Pocket money Posy range – and there are plenty of color schemes to choose from.
While the shopper decided to opt for a beautiful baby pink and blue bouquet with gerberas and roses, you can also opt for a more vibrant pink and purple one – or opt for a summery pink and yellow version instead.
What’s more, the flowers – which retail for £2.49 – also come in special Mother’s Day packaging, so shoppers don’t have to worry about that either.
Delighted with the bargain find, the Facebook user said: ”£2.49 from Lidl”, alongside two heart-eye emojis.
The post, which was uploaded less than a day ago, has already gone viral on the platform and more than 2.2 thousand people have liked it.
Hundreds of members of the popular group flocked to the comments to tag their friends and family, and share their thoughts.
“What a beautiful color,” one person wrote.
Someone else agreed, adding that shoppers won’t have to replace the bouquet for a while either.
“Flowers always last a long time, here and at Aldi.”
Another agreed, having previously made the purchase: “I got them for my mother tomorrow, they smell nice too, good value for money.”
”They are so beautiful!” a fourth was amazed by the colours.
How to make your fresh flowers last longer
There are also a few simple tips that will help your beautiful bouquet stay fresh for longer, and one of them is to use a regular cleaning agent.
According to savvy TikTok fans, the answer is simple: just a small dash of regular household bleach; a trick demonstrated by one woman, Katie Love.
The trick – as crazy as it may seem at first – is also all the rage in the florist community experts from Walden Floralla say it’s a “good” idea to add a quarter teaspoon of bleach to a gallon of water in your vase.
The reason, they explained, is quite simple: bacteria.
”Bacteria will grow in the water, making it cloudy and smelly and shortening the life of the cut flowers you just obtained.
‘What bleach actually does to bacteria is it causes them to unfold and stick together.
“After they stick together, they can no longer function, and then they die.”
The best way to keep your beautiful flowers looking good for as long as possible is to change the water every few days.
Empty the vase, fill it with fresh water, add a little bleach, possibly sugar (which acts as food for the flowers), cut an inch off the stems and place the flowers back in the vase.
