Netflix fans hail an underrated thriller with a higher IMDb rating than The Crown, Happy Valley and Twin Peaks

An old Netflix series has soared in popularity more than three years after the release of its final episode, with fans of the series calling it “mind-bogglingly awesome.”

The ‘masterpiece’ in question is the German-language science fiction thriller Dark, which scores higher than fellow Netflix that offers The Crown, as well as other hits such as Happy Valley and Twin Peaks. IMDb‘s top 250 TV series.

The first series of Dark aired in December 2017 and three seasons and 26 episodes later it appears to have become a cult classic with an iMDB rating of 8.7 out of 10, making it the 88th best TV show according to the site.
