Self-proclaimed “marijuana connoisseur” Nick Vial plans to make major changes to his habits after welcoming his first baby with fiancé Natalie Joy.
During the Thursday, December 7 episode of his “Viall files” podcast, Viall, 43, open to guests Crystal Kung Minkoff about the CBD-infused dinner she brought Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars. While the former bachelor is “not judging” the different ways to ingest marijuana, he is preparing to kick his habit.
“I have a daughter on the way, so I have been informed that changes will be made,” Viall said. “Which I honestly appreciate.”
He continued: “It’s a disgusting habit. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life and I have always been proud of that. Meanwhile I think: [smoking a joint].”
Viall and Joy got engaged in January. Seven months later they announced that they were expecting their first child. During her pregnancy, 25-year-old Joy spoke out about Viall quitting smoking.
“Listen, our daughter can’t go to preschool and say, ‘My dad was at home smoking a blunt,'” she said on Thursday’s episode. ‘No she can not! I don’t really want my daughter to smell like weed either [in our house].”
In addition to kicking his butt, Viall and Joy count down the days until their baby’s arrival. They even shared her name with Kung Minkoff, 40, but this was broadcast to listeners. The RHOBH Star said she “loved” their choice and even offered to get them a Snoo crib for their daughter. (Kung Minkoff was an early investor in the product.)
However, Joy’s pregnancy wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows as she reaches her final trimester.
“I’m so tired. How did you sleep last night, little bitch?” Joy sarcastically asked Viall at the beginning of the podcast episode. “I know [you slept well] because you snored in my ear all night while I was awake and our daughter was having a Zumba boxing class in my belly.
While Viall empathized with Joy’s pregnancy pain, she lamented that “it definitely wasn’t great” and that there is “nothing graceful and light” about the baby’s movements.
“They’re all aggressive and super strong,” Joy said. “And it’s hard when you don’t know what position they’re in.”
Viall added that their baby is “really kicking these days.” He said, “For example, you can see it. That’s wild. … I felt it and she kicks hard. I don’t know if it’s a kick, a punch or a headbutt.”
