Nicole Kidman recreates one of her most famous red carpet looks at Expats premiere and proves she's barely aged in 20 years: 'As she gets older, I like her more'

Nicole Kidman turned heads on Sunday night when she attended the New York premiere of her new Amazon Prime Video series Expats.

The Hollywood star, 56, dared to bare herself and showed off her incredible figure in a racy black backless dress from Atelier Versace.

The dress was a throwback to the look the Australian actress rocked on the red carpet twenty years earlier, proving Nicole's ageless beauty.

In 2003, Nicole stunned in a similar dress at the American Cinematheque's 18th annual tribute held in her honor.

The dress looked demure from the front as it covered all of her cleavage, but when she turned around it had the same backless design.

For the occasion, Nicole wore her strawberry locks in a chic updo with red flowers pinned to the side.

Meanwhile, Nicole's latest look featured a design with a draped neckline on the bodice and a high slit on the skirt, which showed off her incredibly slim body.

Nicole let her dress speak for itself by pairing it with elegant yet simple diamond earrings, a matching diamond bracelet and ring, and a watch.

This time, she wore her hair down and opted for a copper eyeshadow palette and a pink lip for makeup.

After her premiere in New York last weekend, social media marveled at her timeless look.

“As she gets older, I like it here more and more,” wrote one commenter on Facebook.

In Expats, Nicole plays Margaret, a wealthy American woman who lives a seemingly idyllic life in Hong Kong with her family – until an unthinkable tragedy occurs and her son goes missing.

Her life concludes with two other American women who also face their own trials, including a young woman struggling to let go of the past.

Nicole recently opened up about her experiences navigating Hollywood as a woman in her 50s.

The star told Stellar Something to talk about podcast that after making waves with her controversial 2022 Vanity Fair microskirt photoshoot, she never lets what other people think hold her back.

'I make the most random, crazy choices. “I call it 'teenage choices' because I never think about the consequences,” she admitted.

'I have to think about the consequences half the time. Part of my brain just doesn't think that way.'

The Nine Perfect Strangers favorite went on to say that she makes all her fashion choices based on how she feels, rather than what others say she should wear.

“I just try to stay in that place because otherwise I think you get scared or worried about what people think,” she added.

“As far as people's reactions, I say don't tell me. I don't really want to know. It will stop me from doing what I want to do.”

The famous actor continues filming her latest Binge series, The Last Anniversary, produced by her company Blossom Films.

After the success of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers, Nicole will collaborate again with fellow film producer Per Saari.

The Last Anniversary will be her latest adaptation of a novel by Liane Moriarty, published in 2006.

It tells an intriguing story about a woman who inherits a house on a mysterious island and is filmed in Sydney with Australian actors.

'Australian accents, an Australian project with Australian accents for the world. “We've been thinking about this for a long time,” Nicole said at the SXSW Festival last year.

She went on to say that she was thrilled to be working on another production based on a story by Liane because they have so much in common.

“She's the same age, she has children, she's been through similar things at different times. She has become a good friend,” the movie star said of the author.
