A popular brand of taco kits has been recalled from Coles and Woolworths supermarkets across Australia.

The 12-ounce Old El Paso Hard n Soft Taco Kit was recalled Thursday because some kits contained the wrong pouch, labeled Ckn Ndle, containing a milk allergen.

The taco kit is sold in both major supermarkets in every state and territory and at IGA in Queensland and Tasmania.

The affected batch will be marked as best before June 30, 2024.

“Any consumer with a milk allergy or intolerance may experience a reaction if the product is consumed,” Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said.

Old El Paso came to Australia from the United States in 1984 and has become one of the country’s favorite Mexican home brands.

Many Aussies were shocked by the recall, but admitted they were tempted to try the chicken noodle seasoning.

“I was wondering why the bag looked different,” said one.

“Mmmm, chicken noodle tacos,” wrote another.

“I think we need to reduce the 247 boxes in our pantry,” said a third.
