Paul Mescal fears he will become too famous after 'Gladiator 2'
Paul Mescal is afraid of becoming too famous.
After starring in the independent drama After sowhich earned him an Oscar nod for Best Actor in 2023, now he fears his fame could spiral out of control, especially with Gladiator 2 on his slate. He will star in the sequel to the classic 2000 film in which he played the lead role Russel Crowe.
“I don't know what the difference will be,” Mescal told the British publication The times in an interview published on Monday, January 15. “Maybe that's naive? Is it just that more people will stop you on the street? I would be deeply depressed if that were the case and I hope it isn't true.
