A PERFUME expert reviewed Target dupes for popular name brand scents.
While there were a few failures, he was pleasantly surprised by some great copycats and one YSL dupe that he thought was better than the original.
Paul (@paulreactss) shared his thoughts on the perfumes in a TikTok video.
He grabbed every version of the $18 Finery perfumes at Target to share with viewers that were “worth it.”
First up was the brand's Body Mist Fragrance Spray in the scent Another cherry.
“I actually think this is worth it because of the affordable and easily accessible cherry. If you are looking for a good, cheap cherry, this is the solution,” he said.
The smell I am a Muskwhich was reportedly a dupe for Ariana Grande's Cloud, failed the test for him.
“I absolutely disagree. This is not for me. I don't think this is right,” he said.
Paul also continued Solar phoriawhich he described as 'bland'.

Before the rainbow also made a big impression on the expert.

The line is a dupe for YSL's $130 Black Opium, Midnight cafemade an impression on him, but was not intended for him personally.
“They did it justice, it smells better than the original Black Opium, but this one just isn't worth it for me as I'm not a Black Opium fan,” he explained.
FlowerbedHowever, Paul was surprised as someone who generally did not like floral scents.
“This smells like a mix of Miss Dior and Chanel perfume,” he said.
Paul was enthusiastic about it too Pistachio pleasewhich he said was a perfect dupe for the $38 Sol de Janeiro's Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist.
“I would say a little more nutty and pistachio. I would definitely say this one is worth it,” he said.
