A former bachelor, two Survivor winners, three Challenge alums, four housewives (and more) walk into a castle in Scotland – what could go wrong?

Season 2 of Peacocks The traitors starts on Friday, January 12 and the trailer promises plenty of plot twists and gameplay. There is one moment from the teaser that has gone viral The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks and season 24 Bachelor Peter Weberwith the Bravo star stating, “This isn't The Bachelor, and I don't have to kiss you for a rose.”

“I was like, 'Oh, my God, I can't wait to meet her,'” says MTV Trishelle Cannatella told We weekly from Phaedra, 50, in a joint interview with Weber and Love Island Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. “But I'm also terrified of her, and how do I even behave when I'm with her? She surprised me because she is actually a warm person. Well, Peter may have a different experience than me. But I liked Phaedra.”

Weber, 32, laughed at his co-star's assessment. “That trailer, man, the comments on it, holy s–t,” he said Us. “I had a great time at Phaedra. We had an up and down relationship. I've seen her on TV a lot so it was really cool to play with her and she's a sweetheart for the most part. So it was good.”

On The Traitors, in which twenty reality stars try to identify which one of them is “killing” their costars at night, fans should prepare to see a different side of Weber – who told Us that the ABC dating show didn't prepare him “at all” for the twisty competition series.

“I learned very quickly on this show, I loved it so much because it was the exact opposite of The Bachelor,” he said. “The Bachelor was kind of a show I went to – you clearly lead with your heart. It's all based on emotions, and this show required you to do the exact opposite and completely detach from your heart with every emotion, not to let it cloud your judgment in any way and just let it be a purely mental game. So it was very different. No similarities whatsoever, but I enjoyed it like no other.”

While Cülcüloğlu, 29, also came off a dating show, she was looking forward to it Love Island prepared her a little more.

“On Love Island I was very good at reading people's minds and I knew who was faking it to make it, and I knew who was playing the game and I also knew who was real and who wasn't real,” she told Us . “So for me I used all the properties and qualities of Love Island and I took it into this game. But as Peter said, this is completely different from bikinis and sunbathing. It's all in a castle. You've got Harry Potter vibes, it all feels creepy. Everyone understands everyone. You feel paranoid, you don't know who to trust. It almost drives you crazy. But it's so much fun because I love playing these dark games. They're good mind games – because everyone plays mind games these days, right? Everyone does. Unfortunately, you are always being manipulated every day. But it was fun, and… the cast is great, so it was fun making new friends.”

Cannatella, 44, has a bit more experience in a competitive environment, having appeared in five seasons The challenge after her first run on The real world: Las Vegas (2002). The traitors reunited her with former costars Chris “CT” Tamburello And Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio.

“[When] I saw [CT and Bananas], I thought, 'Why? Of all the people at MTV, these two?' I mean, we don't have the best history, CT and Bananas and I. So I felt like it was kind of a disadvantage, to be honest,” she shared Us.

Tamburello, for his part, insisted he had no pre-existing problem with Cannatella.

With so many personalities, there's always drama, even behind the scenes. That's certainly the case for MTV's The Challenge. The reality show debuted in 1998 and was originally called Road Rules: All Stars and then Real World/Road Rules Challenge before the name was simplified. Since then, the cast has been one to watch – […]

“I didn't know Trishelle and I had this thing, this drama, this problem,” he said Us in a separate interview, noting that their Real world seasons aired back to back before they met The Inferno in 2004. “We were young. I didn't understand the dynamics [on Traitors] from: 'How will you proceed?' … At the same time, I don't think she harbored any animosity toward me. So for me, as I get into this new chapter in my life and I do the show, I do Traitors and I see familiar faces: 'Oh, Trishelle, oh, Bananas.' For me it was like a safe space for me. I hope they both remain a place for me.”
