New Delhi: Dabang Delhi recorded their second win in PKL Season 10 with a 51-40 victory over the Telugu Titans at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Friday. While the high-profile raiding duo of Pawan Sehrawat and Naveen Kumar earned 14 points each, the real star was Ashu Malik, whose 16 points proved to be the difference between the two sides.

The opening passage of the game was true to what was billed as a battle between each team’s star raiders as Naveen and Pawan Sehrawat went head-to-head in each raid. However, it was Delhi’s captain who regained more touch, and soon Delhi pulled off the first ALL OUT of the match to take an 11–3 lead.

Looking through the barrel, the Titans turned things around in a thrilling passage of play, erasing a nine-point deficit in just five minutes.

The pace of the match was brutal and once again Delhi hit back. A three-point SUPER RAID from Naveen sparked a second Titans collapse with just minutes remaining before the break. It came at a cost though, as Naveen went off injured for the rest of the half – having already achieved a SUPER 10. Despite his absence, Delhi pulled off a second ALL OUT to take a commanding eight-point lead into the break.

The Titans piled on the pressure in the second half and despite Naveen’s return to the mat, Delhi had themselves on the ropes within the first ten minutes. A SUPER TACKLE from Ashu Malik on Sehrawat prevented the inevitable, but the Titans soon got a second ALL OUT to cut the lead to five points.

Malik took charge of Delhi’s revival and quickly racked up points in every attack, completing a super 10 himself. His brilliance helped Delhi to concede a third ALL OUT and eventually complete an 11-run win.
