BJP leaders on Friday claimed that “Modi ki guarantee” and “Modi’s magic” have even been endorsed by an international survey as Prime Minister Narendra Modi topped the approval ratings of several world leaders.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again been ranked as the world’s most popular leader with an approval rating of 76 percent, according to a survey by American consultancy firm Morning Consult.

Prime Minister Modi was followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (66 percent), Swiss President Alain Berset (58 percent) and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (49 percent).

According to the survey, 76 percent of respondents approved of his leadership style, while only 18 percent disapproved and 6 percent gave no opinion.

The latest approval ratings are based on data collected between November 29 and December 5, 2023.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that after the Assembly election results, even an international poll has positively assessed Modi’s guarantee and magic, which is about his model of governance and delivery.

He noted that Modi scored high ratings even during an international crisis like COVID-19, when other world leaders suffered from popular support.

That is because he had been able to bring about development and growth while controlling inflation and lifting more than 13.5 crore people out of poverty.

The approval rating will be reflected in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Poonawalla said.
