Pokémon Legends: ZA will be the next mainline game in the series, following on from 2022’s Pokémon Legends: Arceus.T

The story in Arceus revolved around returning the player to Hisui, the former land we now know as Sinnoh.

At this point, relationships between Pokémon and humans were just beginning to develop, but it seems like ZA will take a different approach.

The trailer showed us what Lumiose City of Kalos looks like, as seen in 2013’s Pokémon X and Y.

It is believed that ZA will take place in Lumiose City before its development into the bustling metropolis we know today began.

The Pokémon Company has revealed that the game will be set entirely in the city and that Mega Evolutions will return.

Fans expect new Mega Evolutions to be introduced, shedding new light on some old friends.

The Kalos region hasn’t been seen in quite some time and it’s rumored that a third Pokémon Z game was in development but was later scrapped.

Pokémon Z was rumored to feature the third Legendary Pokémon Zygarde, as this Pokémon remained incomplete until the next generation.

The title ZA suggests that Zygarde could be the star of the new Legends game, but also refers to another character from X and Y.

AZ is a character throughout the match and shows up at the end for a final battle.

He talks about a Floette he lost 3,000 years ago, which means he could be from the time in which Legends is set.

Pokémon Legends: ZA will be released exclusively for Nintendo consoles in 2025.
