Princess Eugenie talks about meeting a human trafficking survivor in a video for her organization, The Anti-Slavery Collective.

In a Instagram video for the charity – which has 20,100 followers – the royal, 33, and co-founder Julia de Boinville revealed how a woman had been brought to Britain and promised work as a nurse.

“When she came here, she was basically told, 'Oh, you're supposed to have a car,'” the king's niece explained.

“And she didn't have a car, so they told her, 'Well, we're going to take money out of your wages to pay back the money you owe us for the car.'

Eugenie said the woman then “worked 23/7, driving around” – which is a form of debt bondage, “requiring her traffickers to pay back with little to no money.”

“This world of debt slavery, especially in the world of carers, is happening more and more in Britain,” Julia warned.

'And this particular survivor was lucky enough to be found by Thames Valley Police and she has worked with a social worker to regain control of her life and start working here in Britain.

“But I'm sure there are a lot of people who want us to keep our eyes and ears on the ground, so always ask the question.”

This week Eugenie appeared on a panel to discuss modern slavery. The princess, who co-founded The Anti-Slavery Collective in 2017, spoke at the event in Davos, Switzerland, alongside former British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Their discussion should aim to highlight the importance of elevating modern slavery to the highest levels of corporate governance.

According to The guardEugenie said: 'Guns and drugs can only be traded once, but people are trafficked again and again. For them it happens every day and every minute.'

Princess Beatrice also attended the event on Tuesday to support her sister.

Eugenie was also meant to have a discussion leader at a World Economic Forum event on Wednesday, also on human trafficking and modern slavery.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Photos of Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank showed the couple enjoying a sultry New Year's holiday in Jamaica with friends.

Photos of the royal and her financier husband Jack, 37, posing with friends – and their two young sons – on a beautiful Caribbean beach were posted to Instagram by the couple's friend Brendan Fallis, husband of US influencer Hannah Bronfman.

The couple, who visited Sandringham with King Charles and Queen Camilla on Christmas Day, look relaxed and happy and can be seen in a vibrant group photo during their stay.

Ernest, born in May last year, sits on his father's lap, who raises his hand to wave at the camera, and doting mother Eugenie, 33, is seemingly distracted by her son.

August, now two, stands independently with his friends further back in the picture, wearing a green T-shirt.

In the photo, captioned “When traditions begin,” the 20-member group is seen grinning at the camera as they pose for photos.

Another photo shows Eugenie holding Ernest with three friends and their babies.

Wrapped in a towel and a linen shirt after a swim, Eugenie smiles at the camera in the beach photo as the quartet pose next to a palm tree.

Eugenie and Jack have been married for five years and were married on October 12, 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor.

Their first child, August, was born on February 9, 2021, and brother Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank followed in May last year.

The couple announced Ernest's birth on May 30, 2023 on Instagram.

He was born in the private Portland Hospital in London, like his brother – and his mother before him.

Ernest is 13th in line for the throne, pushing Prince Edward to 14th.
