Reba McEntire will star in an untitled sitcom for NBC Universal, and will also produce the project.
The 68-year-old country singer plays a character who inherits her father's restaurant, and later finds out that her business partner is her half-sister that she knew nothing about.
Filming for the multi-camera sitcom has not yet begun and only the pilot has been ordered.

Reba will executive produce the project with Kevin Abbott, Mindy Schultheis and Michael Hanel – all former executive producers of her previous show Reba.
Julie Abbott will also serve as executive producer.
