She took home the award for best actress in the TV series Drama Statue on Sunday for her role in Succession at the Golden Globes.

And Sarah Snook’s former drama teacher is not at all surprised and declares that the Australian star was always destined to become a star.

Nicola Trig, who has known Sarah since she was 11 years old and remains a friend, appeared on Sunrise on Tuesday to recall the Adelaide-born beauty’s early days as an actress.

‘I thought [she was a star] as soon as I saw her,” Nicola said.

Trig described Sarah when they first met as “small and nervous” and said her explosive talent emerged the moment she stepped into character.

“When she played a character of any type, she could just live in that character and you were transfixed,” she explained.

Trig also commented on Sarah’s famously down-to-earth style off-screen.

“I have known her since I was 11 and from that time she has always been a sincere, open, humble and honest person throughout her working life,” she said.

“She never changed and was always exactly the same.”

Nicola first met Sarah when she started at Scotch College in Adelaide after winning a scholarship.
