Shakira Spencer’s three killers get life in prison after their mother was tortured, starved and beaten to death by a ‘pack of savages’

THREE murderers have been jailed for life after a mother was tortured, starved and beaten to death.

Shakira Spencer35, died after falling under the influence of her former neighbor Ashana Studholme, 39, her lover Shaun Pendlebury, 26, and their friend Lisa Richardson, 45.

The trio, from the west London“treated her like a slave”, burned her feet and only gave her ketchup from sachets, the Old Bailey was told.

On Friday, Studholme, Pendlebury and Richardson were each given a minimum term of 34 years.

In an impact statement, read the courtShakira’s son, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: “I suffer from daily nightmares and anxiety about what happened to her. I can’t get the horrible image of my mother looking thin and unwell out of my head .

“Why were they (the defendants) so heartless? What could make them torture another human being?

‘I hope they feel bad every day about the choices they’ve made.

‘I can’t believe people she thought were her friends would ever do this to her.

‘These people are cruel and evil, they don’t deserve to live a normal, happy life again.

“For me, my mother was the best – she wasn’t perfect, but she made me feel happy, safe and loved. I miss her every day and wish for a chance to see and talk to her again.

“I never got to say goodbye to her or tell her I loved her. These people left her to die alone feeling unloved because they had taken everyone away from her.”

Shakira’s body was found severely decomposed on September 26, 2022 thereafter neighbors saw maggots coming out of her flat in Ealing, west London, and called Police.

The mother-of-two had been isolated and forced into sex work in the months leading up to her death, the trial was told.

In early 2021, she was reportedly a “healthy” size 16, but by July 2022 she was “thin and skeletal.”

In December last year, a jury found Studholme, Pendlebury and Richardson guilty of murder Shakira and the prevention of her legal burial.
