A photo of the advert showed that the 96g to 129g Easter eggs had indeed been reduced in price from £1.50 to 75p for those with a More card.

One person wrote under the post: “I'm really happy I got 19 today. Now to save them lol.”

A major supermarket with a thousand branches is closing one today, leaving shoppers stunned.

Aldi on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline will close today for three months so the store can be refurbished.

Customers will have to head to Nightingale Place in Dulock Park to do their weekly shopping.

The renovations are hoped to improve the shopping experience and add more inventory to supermarket shelves, an Aldi spokesperson said.

They said: “To provide Dunfermline customers with an enhanced shopping experience, the Aldi store on Halbeath Road will close on Sunday, February 18 to undergo an exciting refurbishment.

“We will reopen our renovated Aldi store in May.”

Another said: “I just ate one.”

The offer is expected to run until February 21st.

Elsewhere, a woman made sure she got her hands on a huge selection too.

Delighted with her finds, Tammy took to social media to warn other shoppers.

In Tammy's short video, we saw the chocolate lover pushing her cart through the supermarket, full of a huge load of twenty Easter eggs.

She wrote: “When you hear these eggs only cost 75 cents.”

She later wrote: “Mozzas do pieces.”

The foodie later explained: “Don't worry, I won't eat them all at once.”
