The center announced the news on Facebook, announcing it would officially close “on February 17.”

However, The Madhouse aims to go out in style with Paw Patrol characters expected to visit throughout the day.

The popular children's play center admitted it thought it would be possible to find a new, modern location, but said “the market is tough”.

The owners said in the post: “Real estate agents have not made space available for us to move into.

As many of you already know, we have had a difficult few years, and for a variety of reasons we have had to make the difficult decision to close our business.

Many parents were disappointed that the center suddenly closed its doors.

“Oh no, this is heartbreaking,” one parent shouted.

She added: “My girls had great times at The MADhouse and spent hours there.”

Another parent said: “Not another one.

“There aren't many places left for our children to play.”

I'm a dad and I take my kids to soft play. One simple change would make it a fun experience for parents too

And a third said: We're really going to miss you.

“You helped us through the most difficult years of raising our two little ones.

“It was hands down my favorite place to hang out with two young kids of different ages.

“It wasn't too big, not too small. It was just right. I can't imagine life without MADhouse.”

Other parents were also grateful for what the center had done for their children and the community.

One parent wrote: “Thank you for providing such a beautiful and affordable place for my son to play.”

Another commented: “You are amazing and have done so much for the community.”

And a third wrote: “Such a lovely place, perfect for younger children.”

The MADhouse is calling on people to come and play one last time before closing their doors on Saturday at 3 p.m.

These parents aren't the only ones losing their beloved local children's space to play.

Families in Swindon were left “absolutely devastated” after what they described as the “only decent” center in Britain closed.

This is so sad. We moved to Saudi Arabia a year ago and still came back to Kidz About for a visit this summer when we were in Swindon for three days.

Popular Kidz venue was denied a new lease, prompting an outpouring of grief and support on Facebook.

In the same month that Kidz announced its closure, another children's play center in Cumbria notified families of its closure.

Tommy-Lee's stated that it could not stay open during the ongoing cost of living crisis, with rent and electricity skyrocketing.

Other places in Britain offering soft play have recently come into the spotlight, including Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham in East Sussex.

And one mum recommended Oxygen Trampoline Park in Acton, West London.
