PAIN is only temporary, but tattoos are forever.
A woman who had a large sternum tattoo said that although it didn't hurt her lower chest, she did experience pain in her chest.
Dominique (@dominique_janee) shared the video with more than 86,000 TikTok followers.
She shared the process from getting her tattoo overview and watching the tattoo artist as they worked from start to finish.
The 26-year-old was asked by a follower to rate the pain of getting her sternum tattoo on a scale of one to ten.
“I'm going to grade it in sections because they were in sections and there were certain parts that hurt a lot worse,” she said.
She showed off the outline of the tattoo on her lower chest and upper stomach.
Dominique pointed to the part of her upper stomach where the edge of the tattoo was.
“All this I would say is an 8/10,” she said.
She moved upwards, indicating that the top of the tattoo on her chest hurt the most.
“This was a 10/10, I can tell you it felt like I was being sawed in half, that was not okay,” she said.
The tattoo artist worked from right to left and when they finished the tattoo, she said it “almost killed her.”
“That pain was like a nine, but I only shed one tear because I went through a lot of trauma,” she joked.
“Overall I'd probably say a 7/10.”
In a videoshe showed the full tattoo after it healed.
Many tattoo enthusiasts could identify with her pain and suffering.
“I had mine done today and I can confirm what she said 'ouchy,'” one commenter said.
“It's always worse on the other side, I had my collarbones done and the first one wasn't that bad, the second was 10/10,” said another.
