Thousands of UFO fanatics flocked to a small town in central France in the hope of finally encountering extraterrestrial life.

The event, organized by fringe group Alliances Célestes, reportedly attracted around 2,200 people who each paid between €150 and €190 (£128 to £162) to attend the three-day conference held at the Zenith Limoges Metropole- building in Limoges, a small city with a population of about 130,000.

Organizers said they wanted to prepare people for the arrival of aliens or “new style encounters.”

The event’s website states: ‘The mission of this citizen delegation is to guide humanity in this process, to properly inform and reduce the fear and stress that these types of encounters can cause.’

Although the media was excluded from the event, video of the conference was leaked to BFMTV, where thousands of people listened intently to someone speaking on a set on stage.

The stage was decorated with white furniture, including several chairs and a high table on the right.

The background of the set consisted of ‘futuristic’ windows depicting stars speeding past the ‘alien chamber’ they were in.

The speaker can be heard telling the conference participants, “We are in contact with civilizations. When I say in contact, it is about communication and a partnership, a collaboration.

‘But they have a big problem, these civilizations, and that is that they don’t know how to communicate with the citizens of Earth.

‘For what? Because the citizens of Earth are afraid.”

Two French reporters managed to sneak in and said they saw Alliances Célestes director Jean-Michel Raoux dressed in a blue and yellow outfit, claiming he was a being from the planet ‘Niam’.

Raoux reportedly claims that he regularly encounters aliens and that he has the power to bring aliens to different parts of the Earth.

The crowd also heard from Anne Givaudan, a “galactic reporter” who claimed she was from the land of “Shambhala.” She told conference participants that she has witnessed human-hybrid animals in Antarctica.

‘That’s why it’s time to stand up and say to ourselves: What are we doing? Do we trust beings who have always deceived us in all areas? A new world must emerge,” she told a crowd.

But while many in France dismissed the event as a harmless conference, political figures warned that the events attract conspiracy theorists and extremists.

One of those invited to the conference was QAnon sympathizer Antoine “Q” Cuttitta.

The conspiracy theorist regularly posted conspiracy videos on YouTube before the platform closed his channel.

According to Conspiracy Watch, Cuttita helped found the Human Health Alliance International, a group known for its embrace of “alternative” medicine. It provided a platform that could connect patients with debilitating diseases to ‘aromatherapists’, ‘energetics’, ‘magnetizers’, ‘mass therapists’ or even ‘naturopathic practitioners’.

“I was stunned that such an event took place in Limoges,” tweeted Thierry Miguel, vice-president of the Haute-Vienne department council.

‘Who are these eccentrics who invite themselves to Limoges to put the ideas of charlatans and conspiracy theorists into people’s heads?’

Miguel said he plans to organize a public meeting on the role of science and social progress.

“We cannot stand there with our arms folded in the face of possible charlatans who come to talk to us about theories from another time,” he told BFMTV.

‘When a society is dysfunctional, it resorts to these kinds of values. But we must strive to distinguish the truth from the false by relying on science.”

The most prestigious canine competition in the world has kicked off in Birmingham – featuring some very stylish looks from pooches and their owners.

Day one of Crufts 2024 saw pets from all around the world arrive to compete in categories such as agility and obedience, with the world-class Best In Show title to be awarded on Sunday. 

One Pyrenean mountain dog showed off some impressive balance and prowess as she was seen excitedly measuring up to give kisses to her owner Claire while standing on her hind legs.

Elsewhere two adorable Collies walked alongside each other as one sported a colourful jacket adorned with dragon wings. 

Other pooches sported sweet patterned ponchos while others had their fur and ears decorated into intricate stylings – seemingly in preparation to look their best for the revered event.

Some pets preferred to be transported in rather than walk – ranging from a tiny, fluffy black and white dog being wheeled in  a pink baby carriage to a bulldog patiently sitting in a shopping cart.

Fabulous accessories adorned some of the dogs, with pooches wearing sparkly pink headscarves, jumpers and onesies.

Snaps showing the arrivals feature a cohort of very excited canines with their grinning owners, as the competition kicks off. 

Crufts, which has been running since 1891 and is currently organised by The Kennel Club, is considered the most prestigious canine competition in the world.

This year’s pampered pooches include Dougal – an adorable 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier and member of the Good Citizen display team, who looked unbelievably cute as he posed among spring daffodils at the photocall at the National Exhibition Centre earlier this week.

Dougal looked tiny as he posed with Irish Wolfhound Killoughery Rockefella, aged two, as the pair made an adorable big and small duo with Dougal managing to stand between his legs. 

And poodle Ruben put on a magnificent display as he jumped over a bar, showing a display of impressive agility.  

The arrivals are just a few of more than 24,000 dogs heading to Birmingham ahead of this year’s competition. 

The show is traditionally split into four main categories: gundog, working and pastoral, terrier and hound, and utility and toy.

When the competition began in 1891 it was founded by Charles Cruft, a dog biscuit salesman.

Mr Cruft had had previous experience with dog shows, having been involved with the canine section at the Paris exhibition in 1889. 

When he brought the show to the UK two years later at the Albert Hall in Islington, it was considered a resounding success. 

After 2,500 submissions were received, the appetite for the competition among the general public was clear. 

Dog lover Queen Victoria even entered her pooches in several categories, with the royal dogs picking up three awards.

For more than a century, Crufts has remained the most prestigious dog competition in the world.

This year’s competition will begin on Thursday March 7 and conclude on Mother’s Day, Sunday March 10. 

Last month, the Kennel Club, which runs Crufts, revealed the finalists of its annual Kennel Club Hero Dog Award.

From a Golden Retriever who has helped her owner overcome chronic illness to a Belgian Malinois who saved lives in the aftermath of Turkey’s earthquake, these dogs have all earned the title of hero.

But, only one can be crowned as the UK’s number one hero hound. 

So, as the public vote for the winner opens, MailOnline met with the finalists and their owners to learn more about these intrepid pups. 

The winner of the Kennel Club Hero Dog award will be chosen by public vote which opens from today until 4pm Sunday March 10.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr has welcomed her fourth child: a baby boy named Pierre Kerr Spiegel.

The 40-year-old founder of Kora Organics, who is married to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, gave birth to the couple’s third son on Sunday, February 18. He announced the news in a post shared on the popular social media app this morning.

“We are overjoyed with the arrival of our little ray of sunshine, Pierre Kerr Spiegel,” she shared in a statement on her Snapchat.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our fourth son to our family. I feel so blessed.”

Miranda and Evan’s choice of name for their newborn son could be a touching tribute to the model’s beloved grandfather, Peter, who passed away in February 2021 after a battle with cancer.

Miranda described her grandfather at the time as the “rock” of the family, adding a heartfelt statement that “his spirit will live on in our family and all those he loved.”

In addition to the heartwarming announcement, Miranda shared a sweet image of a blue blanket embroidered with her newborn son’s name, as well as an adorable pair of yellow knitted baby booties and a bouquet of flowers.

Miranda and Evan, who tied the knot in 2017, now have three sons together – baby Pierre, five-year-old Hart and four-year-old Myles – and the model and businesswoman also shares a fourth son, Flynn, 13, with her former husband Orlando Bloom .

Baby Pierre’s birth comes almost six months after Miranda announced that she and Evan were expecting another child together. She shared the happy news in a social media post on September 1.

At the time, the fashion star shared a series of sweet photos of herself proudly showing off her growing baby bump, writing, “So excited to announce baby 4.”

Since then, Miranda has shared several sweet glimpses into her pregnancy, documenting her growing baby bump in a series of social media posts — as well as in several photo shoots, including a stunning appearance in Vanity Fair Italia in December.

The wellness expert also opened up about her pregnancy cravings in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, revealing she was craving fresh citrus fruits and lemon water.

“With one of the boys I was craving apples, another frozen yogurt – and now I’m craving oranges,” she said. ‘Another one made me think, “Please give me a burger!”‘

Miranda also showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a stunning shoot for her natural beauty brand Kora Organics to promote its range of maternity essentials as part of a collaboration with popular maternity wear brand Bumpsuit.

In a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, the mother of four was seen posing in a black maternity bodysuit while holding a bottle of her brand’s Noni Glow Body Oil.

Miranda first hinted that she and Evan were considering expanding their brood in a 2022 interview with Vogue Australia, telling the publication at the time that while she had always wanted to be a mother of three boys, she was “open” stood for more. children.

The 54-year-old beauty from the Bronx – who was spotted wearing a fur coat on Friday – modeled a sheer, black, sleeveless turtleneck top that exposed her cleavage and nude bra.

She wore it under a long gray jacket, which she put on with long, green-turquoise gloves.

The fashionista added matching gray pants and completed the memorable look with a pair of gold platform heels.

Lopez wore large, round, light-tinted sunglasses as fans surrounded her with their cameras off.

The mother of two was carrying a small white bag with a gold chain strap.

Her neck was adorned with a thick, solid gold choker and her honey-colored locks were parted in the middle.

The long locks were organized in uniform waves that flowed down her back and over her chest.

Rhian Sugden has said she would like to try for a second baby 'soon' as 'time is ticking' as she prepares to give birth to her first child.

The model, 37, is expecting a five-year-old son, actor Oliver Mellor, 42, with her husband on May 4.

She recently revealed the gender of their baby and said she was 'over the moon' to have a son after spending £150,000 to get through eight grueling rounds of IVF more than five years.

Rhian previously began her difficult journey to motherhood, admitting she suffered from depression, anxiety and an eating disorder while trying to conceive.

But she has expressed her desire to have another child and admitted she told Oliver they had to go again soon because she “couldn't afford to wait too long.”

Speak with Closershe said: 'I love pregnancy so much. It feels like a miracle and has helped heal my pain. I told Oliver, “I can't bear the thought of this being the last time I'm pregnant, we have to go again.”

Rhian also talked about how her body had changed and become 'rounder' through her pregnancy and IVF, but insisted it doesn't matter that much to her anymore.

She said: 'I fully embrace all the changes instead of feeling insecure. My body is here for a different reason now. I'm not just a piece of meat for men to look at. I would love to get back into shape, but I don't care as much now.'

However, she said the biggest change in her figure had been the size of her breasts, saying they had become so big they were 'on another planet'.

Rhian admitted that when she finishes having children and stops breastfeeding, she would get a lift and possibly even a breast reduction.

She said: 'My boobs are on another planet now – they are huge. My nipples have become huge. I went from an E to a G cup and I think they will get bigger.

'I can't find a bra or bikini that fits. It depends if I'm lucky enough to have another baby, but my breasts will definitely need some attention.

“When all the milk is gone, they'll just drain so I get a boost and possibly shrink.”

To boost her confidence, Rhian explained that Oliver thinks she has never looked sexier than with a baby bump.

She joked that her pregnancy caused the couple to get inventive with their sexual positions because she wasn't allowed to lie on her back.

Rhian said that although they were 'still very active in the bedroom', their sex life is 'a bit weird' because Oliver doesn't like the baby watching from her stomach.

It comes after she revealed her OnlyFans page funded her £150,000 IVF treatment, explaining she earned up to £1,000 a day for posting topless or nude photos on the site.

Rhian said The sun: 'I have nice breasts and I'm not ashamed of OnlyFans. I've made more money from OnlyFans than I have in my entire career.'

'There are so many topless pictures of me, and I thought: why not? I was making a few thousand a day,” she continued.
