John Cena certainly made an impression at the Oscars ON Sunday.

The 46-year-old Argylle star appeared to be wearing only his birthday suit as he walked onto the stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles to present the award for best costume design.

The wrestler turned actor carried a large manila envelope with “Costume Design” written on it as he approached the microphone, showing off his six-pack abs and strong legs.

His feet were covered with brown sandals.

As naked as he looked, there were safeguards in place to keep his R-rated appearance from becoming NC-17.

Behind-the-scenes photos show that the Freelance star was actually wearing a flesh-colored covering over his genitals and buttocks.

As part of the schtick, the WWE Smackdown was later covered in a gold toga.

Host Jimmy Kimmel introduced the piece by saying that at the 1974 Academy Awards, a man shot across the stage as actor David Niven was about to introduce Elizabeth Taylor.

Cena was supposed to recreate Moment on his 50th birthday, but declined, saying, “I just don’t feel right about it.” It’s an elegant event, you know, you should be ashamed of yourself right now for proposing such a tasteless idea.”

After some back and forth, Kimmel said, “Okay, then hand out the prize.”

At that moment, the Barbie actor side stepped to the center of the stage, to the sounds of loud laughter throughout the theater, and then slowly approached the microphone.

The former queen of Denmark has won a prestigious award for her costume and set design for a Danish Netflix film, just weeks after her abdication.

Margrethe, who shocked royal watchers when she announced her unexpected abdication on December 31, announced her award on Instagram.

She worked on the Netflix film Ehrengard – The Art of Seduction, for which she received a Robert Award as costume designer of the year.

On Instagram, the royal family wrote: 'I am deeply grateful, moved and proud of the recognition that the Robert Award represents.

'Receiving an award given by the industry itself makes me extremely happy, and it was a great joy and pleasure to be able to contribute to the expression of the film.

'I would like to thank the whole team behind the film, but especially everyone who turned my ideas, sketches and drawings into reality – not least the talented people who sewed and worked with the many costumes.'

Many are unaware of the former monarch's creative talents, but as a child she dreamed of becoming an artist.

According to the Royal website: 'Princess Margrethe started attending the Royal Theater with her parents at an early age, where she attended August Bournonville's ballet Napoli in 1948, which made a deep impression on the princess.'

According to Danish law, only men were allowed to ascend the throne until she was thirteen. But when the constitution was changed to allow women to rule, Margrethe became the heir presumptive, changing the course of her life and becoming queen in 1972.

However, she continued to work on her drawings and other works of art until about the age of twenty.

After studying a degree in prehistoric archeology at the University of Cambridge, as well as Aarhus University in Denmark, the Sorbonne and the London School of Economics, she was inspired to take up art again after reading JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.

According to the Danish royal family: 'As an adult, The Queen herself became involved in ballet as a set designer and costume designer.

'From the mid-eighties and thirties, The Queen helped with the annual ballet performances at a friend's dance school in Næstved, where the grand piano sets and costumes were conjured up with enormous imagination from the available materials. Very special were the numerous paper hats at the performances, which The Queen herself devised and made.'

After working on amateur productions, Margrethe turned more professionally, after being approached by Danmarks Radio's TV theater, which approached 'The Queen in 1987 and persuaded her to help as a set designer and costume designer for a TV production of HC Andersen's fairy tale. Praising the author, she described the work as “aesthetic” and revealed: “I have tried to interpret Blixen's fantastic universe in the creation of the découpages and costumes and I look forward to seeing Ehrengard's story come to life in this film.”

Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction is now streaming on Netflix in Denmark.

Rhian Sugden hit back at trolls after sharing a photo in a racy festive costume on Sunday.

The glamor model, 37, is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Oliver Mellor, 42, and has spent around £150,000 on eight rounds of IVF treatment.

And showing off her blossoming bump on Instagram, the TV personality stunned in a raunchy outfit that showed off her ample assets as she cradled her bump for the sexy photo.

She captioned the image: “Festive AF. Food baby and baby baby.. the most satisfied Christmas I’ve ever had! I had to keep up my tradition of an annual sexy Santa outfit. Just like you fit in.’

It comes after Rhian revealed she has been having a private scan every week because it ‘still doesn’t feel real’ that she is 18 weeks pregnant.

Rhian appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Steph’s Packed Lunch in the studio, while Oliver joined from home to talk to Steph McGovern about their long struggle to have a baby.

Rhian said: ‘I don’t know how I feel to be honest, it still doesn’t feel real. After believing for a long time that it wouldn’t happen, it finally happened. I’m just really overwhelmed by it right now.

‘I have scans every week because there’s a local clinic, so I keep popping in to check everything is still OK and if it’s still there.

‘We’ve always known it [having children] was planned and you actually expect to become pregnant. You get married and then you try to have children, and then it just happens.

“All those years before you tried not to get pregnant, and when it comes down to it, it just doesn’t happen. So we went for the tests. Oliver was told he had donor worthy sperm and it was me who had the problem, I was in perimenopause.

‘I had no idea because my periods were regular so I had no idea anything could be so wrong.’

The couple, who are expecting their child on May 4, admitted that they sometimes feared they would never be able to get pregnant.

Rhian struggled to conceive due to her low egg count and perimenopausal hormone levels, and was only given a three percent chance of conceiving naturally.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star spoke about her ‘tough’ battle with her IVF treatment and explained how she discovered the happy news the day she planned to give it up.

She added: ‘The first round was NHS, it wasn’t very tailored to me. The first round was tough, just like the first four. After the first four, five, sixth and seventh, it was just part of our lives then. It just became second nature to get up, inject, take tablets.

‘It’s like PMS times 100, so poor Oliver had a lot to deal with. It’s a little blurry at first because like I said, I’m just used to it. Maybe I’m used to keeping all the hormones inside.

‘Number eight was my last. You put everything aside for it. It was like throwing money on the street. We spent a fortune.

‘I was convinced it wasn’t working and I just wanted to have a drink, so I went and took a pregnancy test. I didn’t think it would be positive because all I wanted was a glass of wine in the evening and then it was positive.”

Oliver added: “There’s no denying it’s been very difficult for both of us. Rhian is putting on a bit of a brave face, I think. The emotional trauma has been heavy.

‘Physically, there’s no denying that I’ve had the easiest journey by far. I inject her with hormones and blood thinners twice a day and she takes steroids.

“I felt terrible because I felt like I was hurting her because I had to do this every day, and it just became routine. The emotional side of it, I think we’ve just become numb to it.”

Rhian and Oliver, who married in 2018, announced earlier this month that they are expecting their first child together.

Share the news with Hello! magazine’s Rhian said: ‘We’re over the moon, our lives are going to change so much, which is really exciting.’

The Coronation Street star added: ‘I can’t wait for the baby to be born, I’ll be pumping my fist in the air and shouting: ‘I’m a dad!’

She announced her decision to begin the in vitro fertilization process in 2019 after doctors told her she has an egg count from someone at least 13 years older.

Miss Universe Australia has taken to the stage for the national costume portion of the global pageant amid ongoing controversy over her property developer parents owing tens of millions of dollars linked to failed businesses. 

Moraya Wilson, 21, stepped out in a pastel-hued gown by Perth designer Emma Daley titled Wild Beauty, inspired by Australia’s native wildflowers.

The gown was a subdued choice compared with some of the others being shown off in El Salvador on the weekend. 

Her entry into the pageant has sparked controversy back home linked to her parents’ business dealings. Her father, Anton Wilson, ran multiple companies which collapsed owing creditors more than $45million.

Anton was banned by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) from managing corporations until 2027 and his ex-wife Melinda Wilson disqualified from managing corporations for five years, with debts of $39million.

Ms Wilson herself was alleged to be a director of 10 companies which owed thousands of dollars in tax as of September 2 – a day after winning the Australian crown in Melbourne, though she has denied any knowledge of, or involvement in, the businesses. 

The controversy has even spread to Victoria’s Parliament with shadow transport minister and former opposition leader Matthew Guy calling on ASIC to reopen investigations into her parents.

During his statement to the state’s parliament, Mr Guy said that a number of his constituents had contacted his office concerned about the ‘actions of Mr and Ms Wilson’.

‘I do note that there is a lot of money in this issue that is owed and has been at play, and many Victorians have been financially hurt and seek rightful redress,’ Mr Guy said.

‘It is not right that a number of companies linked to these individuals continue to operate while tens of millions of dollars in unpaid debts remains outstanding,’ Mr Guy said.

The MP alleged that ASIC had previously investigated the couple but the inquiries had been ‘bizarrely’ concluded ‘with no serious attempt to seek financial redress or assist those who are seeking to obtain justice’.

‘How can it be that our federal regulatory authorities cannot commence or reopen investigations into people who owe so much money to so many?’ Mr Guy asked.

Mr Guy requested the state assistant treasurer to contact his federal counterpart, Stephen Jones, to ‘reopen an investigation’ into Mr and Ms Wilson. 

He also called on Victorian Premier, Jacinta Allan, to put her support behind an investigation promptly for the sake of ‘Victorians involved who have been financially hurt’.

For now, at least, Ms Wilson parents’ troubles will take a back seat as she focuses on her performance at the Miss Universe pageant.

The winner will receive a reported $250,000 in prizemoney along with a six figure salary and a rent-free New York apartment for one year.

This year’s event is the first Miss Universe – considered one of the ‘big four’ global beauty pageants along with Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth – to ever allow married women and mothers to take part.

Other contestants stepped out in extravagant, sometimes eccentric, bejewelled ensembles for the costume show – with everything from an Oxford English Dictionary to tulips, trains and even airplanes, on display.

An array of animals such as butterflies, goats and birds graced the stage in an explosion of colour – and one entry even dressed as a cobbled street.

The final of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant will take place on Saturday, with the person coming out on top crowned by last year’s winner, USA’s R’Bonney Nola Gabriel.

After updating its eligibility rules last year, married women and mothers are allowed to compete in Miss Universe for the very first time – held at José Adolfo Pineda Arena, San Salvador. 

For the last 70 years, the pageant was only available to women who had never been married or had children, but now, both mothers and married women can enter the pageant. 

‘We all believe that women should have agency over their lives and that a human’s personal decisions should not be a barrier to their success,’ an internal memo obtained by The National said.

Josh Yugen, the national director of Miss Universe told The National: ‘The Miss Universe Organization is always the greatest and most innovative platform of its kind and now it will be more inclusive and welcoming to mothers and married women. 

‘For me, this is aligned with what I have been fighting for — breaking stereotypes and unlearning the stigma that the old society has forced on us from many many decades ago.’

Likely in celebration of the new ruling, Miss Canada Madison Kvaltin was seen sporting a gigantic maple leaf costume with the words ‘Inclusivity makes dreams come true’ during the show.

Andrea Meza, 27, who represented Mexico and was crowned Miss Universe in 2020, noted the new rule was long overdue.

‘I honestly love that this is happening,’ she said in an interview with Insider. ‘Just like society changes and women are now occupying leadership positions where in the past only men could.

‘It was about time pageants changed and opened up to women with families.’

This year’s costume show saw a wide variety of outfits donned by the participants, including a train, multiple dragons and what appeared to be a money chandelier. 

Possibly most peculiar of all was Miss Great Britain Jessica Page’s choice of outfit, as she stepped out as an Oxford Dictionary. 

Miss Cameroon Issie Princess’s costumes honours women who have made an impact on the women’s empowerment movement in Cameroon.

Meanwhile Helena Bleicher, Miss Germany, opted to go as Rapunzel – wearing a long plaited wig and a pink and purple co-ord, while carrying a storybook.

Miss Curacao Kim Rossen went as the Olympic torch for her costume, while Miss Netherlands Rikkie Kolle stepped out as a blooming flower.

The beginning of the competition comes just days after it was announced the company behind the Miss Universe pageant sensationally filed for bankruptcy.

Anne Jakrajutatip acquired the event for $20 million in 2022 from IMG Media, adding it to the portfolio of JKN Global Group. Between 1996 and 2015, the Miss Universe Pageant was part of Donald Trump’s business empire.  

The bankruptcy comes after the company missed out on fulfilling a $12 million loan repayment. Despite the setback, JKN was bullish and maintained that the event would go ahead as planned. 

Back in 2015, Trump was forced into selling the pageant after TV companies refused to deal with the then-presidential candidate over his racist remarks while on the campaign trail. 

Around this time, one former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado, said that Trump called her Miss Piggy after she gained weight after winning the contest in 1996. 

The final season of The Crown will be released in two parts, with the first releasing on November 16 and the second on December 14.

While the royal drama is no stranger to controversy, the sixth series is likely to feature some of its most controversial moments.

One of the events documented in the drama is the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, who died in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997.

Although it has been reported that the fatal crash will not be shown on camera, the episodes will build up to the death of the royal family in the first episode of the season.

Sidonie Roberts, costume designer and head buyer for The Crown, spoke to the Telegraph about dressing actor Elizabeth Debicki in her final episodes, capturing the real-life royal’s iconic style in the drama.

While looking at the season six costumes for the character, Sidonie noticed how little clothing populated the rail.

This realization, she said, made it “really clear how her life is being cut short,” labeling the moment a “powerful realization.”

During her last summer, the princess famously cruised the Mediterranean with Dodi Al Fayed, vacationing in the south of France with him and her sons William and Harry.

According to Sidonie, this is where one of the princess’s most iconic swimsuit looks comes into play: an animal print halterneck swimsuit made by Israeli swimwear company Gottex.

The company created the piece for the royal drama before re-releasing it for other customers to buy.

Sidonie told the Telegraph that at some point the group is hounded by the press, prompting her to don the high-profile piece and offer the press some images in exchange for privacy, “because William is really struggling.”

The costume designer and buyer added, “In these moments she is very aware of the motive and the agenda, what this costume will say and the power she has with the media and her fashion.”

Another of the princess’s most famous pieces also features in the program: the turquoise swimsuit she wore while sitting at the end of the passerelle on Al-Fayeds’ yacht in the Mediterranean.

This piece was recreated by the costume team and retailed for £200.

Some of the clothing items worn by the characters in the drama will be inspired by the costume department. Some of these, Sidonie revealed, were picked up during a 3am shopping session on eBay.

However, the series includes many more that are directly based on pieces worn by the princess.

One of these shown during the final episode is a simple red dress, created by designer Catherine Walker – who designed a significant number of well-known ensembles worn by the royal family.

In reality, the simple red shirt, which features a gold double belt, was originally made for the princess during a visit to Chicago, but was not worn until the foundation stone was unveiled in the emergency department of Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow. Middlesex.

Sidonie said the dress inspired a look in the program that was supposed to be a “clean and clear vehicle to evoke the ostentatious wealth of Al Fayeds’ world.”

In one of the famous photos from that visit, the royal family is dressed in a pale pink shirt, adorned with a pair of large gold stud earrings.

Meanwhile, the trailer for the upcoming series shows the royal family dressed in a very similar shirt and earrings, showing how the spirit of the princess’s style has been captured by the creative team.

When it comes to the costumes during what will undoubtedly be a very controversial segment – ​​the moments leading up to the royal family’s death – Sidonie revealed how the team handled it.

She revealed that the clothes were kept extremely close to what Diana actually wore.

They worked with a tailor and made two pantsuits, keeping the final scene “as true to life as possible.”

Schitts Creek alum Emily Hampshire apologizes after she and a friend dressed up as Johnny Depp And Amber heard for Halloween.

“I want to address one of the most thoughtless, insensitive and ignorant things I have ever done,” Hampshire, 42, wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Wednesday, November 1. “For Halloween, I stupidly thought it would be funny to dress up as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.”

She continued, “I am deeply sorry and ashamed for putting something so horrible out into the universe. Domestic violence is never funny. These are real issues with real people and I REALLY regret my actions. In the future I will do better. I’m very sorry.”

Hampshire removed photos of themselves dressed as Depp, 60, complete with drawn tattoos and accessories referencing the actor’s 2022 defamation case against his ex-wife Heard, 37. The Hampshire friend feigned tears in the snaps and donned a white top reminiscent of the one Heard wore as she cried on the stands in May 2022.

A plastic turd could be seen in Hampshire’s jacket pocket, a nod to Depp’s claim that he discovered “human feces” on his bed in 2016 after a fight with Heard. The Canadian actress also posed with a bottle of wine, which some social media users interpreted as a reference to Heard’s claim that Depp sexually assaulted her with a bottle of liquor in 2015.

“Wow. This is obviously in bad taste, but the wine bottle prop? Gross,” one Reddit user wrote.

Others believed that the time for the controversial costume had come and gone when a jury found in Depp’s favor in June 2022, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

“It really is a special kind of depravity to keep the costumes going a year and a half later. @emilyhampshire clearly felt the need to take on this task,” wrote an X user (formerly Twitter).

Another person shared a similar sentiment via Reddit. “Well, this is insanely disappointing. Even though it’s not offensive, this costume comes so late to the party,” they wrote.

Depp first sued Heard, whom he was married to from 2015 to 2017, in February 2019 over her December 2018 op-ed The Washington Post. Heard described himself in the piece as a survivor of domestic violence, but did not mention Depp by name.

After the jury ruled in Depp’s favor, the actor shared a lengthy statement noting that he was “truly humbled” to have his “life back.” He concluded his message with: “The truth never fades.”

Depp’s legal victory came three years after a judge ruled against him during his 2020 defamation trial The sun. (Depp sued the British publication over an April 2018 story that cited allegations Heard had previously made, detailing 14 different incidents of abuse.)
