Taylor Swift has Us I wished we could get in a 'getaway car' to Australia The Eras tour.
During Swift's Saturday, February 17, concert in Melbourne, she did something new for her surprise song section and sang a three-song mash-up. Swift, 34, began with a rendition of Reputation“Getaway car.”
“I want to play one that you really want to hear, I want you to be happy,” she told the crowd social media film material.
Swift then transitioned into “Augustus” from Folklore before closing with “The Other Side Of The Door”. Fearless (Taylor's version). While the Grammy winner – who also performed 'This is Me Trying' Folklore — has previously merged two of her songs into the acoustic section, but Saturday marked her first time adding a third to the mix.
Eagle-eyed Swifties pointed it out social media that all three chosen numbers refer to infidelity in a relationship. In “Getaway Car,” Swift sings that being involved in a situation involving “the three of us” is an “afterthought,” while “August” is about a teenage love triangle. 'The Other Side of the Door', meanwhile, contains the lyrics: 'And I burst into tears, was she worth the mess?'
Swift kicked her away Eras tourin honor of all her previous albums, in March 2023. While the show is on sections dedicated to each plate, there is also a set for two rotating additions.

“One thing we said about the Eras tour: 'Do you think you can just go online, do you think you can just scroll and know the set list?'” Swift said during her concert in Arlington, Texas in March. “You think you can just prepare with little flashcards [that list the song order and my outfits]? Let it be said about the Eras Tour, we are difficult. That's what we are [and] we enjoy good, healthy setlist hijinks.”
Swift completed the first American and South American volumes of Eras in late 2023 and returned to the stage earlier this month.
“I've decided that in 2024, when we go on tour again, I'm going to open up all the songs again for surprise songs,” Swift noted during her concert in Brazil in November 2023. “I feel like we've had a year of really went through a lot of songs, so I'm going to make sure all the songs are honest when we go on tour again.
She continued, “There are some songs I still really want to play, so I'm going to try to get through them all.”
Swift also made it clear that songs are coming out Midnights, her 2022 album, are also a chance to be repeated. She will also be on the road with her next album, The department of tortured poets, drops in April. It is currently unknown if she has plans to have one TTPD section to the setlist or add snippets to her surprise song section.
