Beach accident at Teewah, Noosa: Tourist in his 20s is killed and four others injured when a Toyota Prado rolled onto a popular beach

A man in his 20s died and four others were rushed to hospital when a 4WD rolled onto Teewah Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the Toyota Prado died on the spot. Police confirmed the vehicle had rolled over several times.

Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, were called to a car crash near the Teewah Beach campsite on the Noosa North Shore just after midday.

A woman in her 20s, two men in their 20s and a man in their 30s were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said.

They remain in stable conditions.

A spokesperson for RACQ Lifeflight said the Prado is believed to have swerved to avoid something on the beach.
