Tesco reveals its most popular meal deal sandwiches of 2023 – and an old favorite is reigning supreme

Many users can’t resist a meal deal, and now Tesco has revealed the pick that came out on top for 2023.

Tesco has unveiled its annual Clubcard Unpacked, which allows customers to see exactly what the best stores for Brits were in 2023, as well as the country’s popular meal deals.

Just like last year, Tesco’s Sausage Bacon & Egg Triple sandwich, McCoy’s Flame Grilled Steak Grab Bag Chips and a bottle of Coca-Cola took the lead.

Although the British loved the Tesco Sausage Bacon & Egg Triple and it remains the nation’s favorite meal deal, this changed over the festive period – the Tesco Turkey & Trimmings Sandwich took over the coveted number one spot.

But the main part of the meal deal also changed depending on the location.

The winner! This sandwich emerged as the best Tesco meal deal in Britain. It consists of hard-boiled egg, sausage, smoked bacon, tomato sauce and mayonnaise in malted bread

Scots previously opted for Tesco Smoked Ham And Mature Cheddar Sub while there Northern Ireland first place went to the Tesco Chicken Bacon & Stuffing Sandwich.

Meanwhile, Scouse Clubcard members managed to process 187,000 bags of festive ice cream.

Londoners ate more than six million avocados, while Glaswegians ate more than one million morning sandwiches.

Cardiff processed 628,000 apples and Leeds drank more than 23 million cups of tea.

Mancunians nibbled on more than 570,000 meat pies, but Derby residents nibbled on 209,000 blocks of cheese.

Leicester crushed more than 3 million bags of chips and Brummies bought 958,000 sandwiches.

In Edinburgh alone, shoppers grabbed 4,135 haggises on Burns Night, while shoppers in Sheffield ate more than 1 million Yorkshire puddings.

Clubcard members keen to dive into their results can view their Clubcard Unpacked in the ‘Tesco Grocery and Clubcard’ app.

From January 3, they can also check online via their Clubcard account.
