TESCO customers have been left furious over a change that will mean they can no longer earn Clubcard bonus points.

The supermarket has axed a survey site that rewarded customers with Clubcard points and a chance to win a £1,000 voucher.

Shoppers in the store used to receive receipts encouraging them to visit tescoviews.com for a chance to win a gift voucher and earn an extra 25 Clubcard points.

But this week, disappointed shoppers noticed that the retailer is no longer accepting survey responses through the site.

A notice on the address says it will instead contact customers directly for their views, and it is understood this will now be done via email.

Shoppers are disappointed with the change, with one person on

“Your accounts still say surveys can be conducted, so this needs to be corrected.”

Another added: “Very disappointed that you have stopped the Clubcard customer surveys for 25 points. Without any warning to customers.”

A third added: “Why does it still say on your receipts that you need to collect 25 points by going to tescoviews.com, yet after going there I am told you are no longer doing this survey?”

Tesco responded by saying the address would soon be removed from all receipts.

Another customer wanted to complain about the service in the local store, but did not know how the site was now taken offline.

They added: “Making feedback impossible will hardly impress anyone.”

Shoppers get one point for every €1 they spend while using their Clubcard, although double points are sometimes offered.

Each Clubcard point is worth 1p to spend at Tesco, so 500 points equals £5 cash.

Other ways to get Clubcard bonus points include sending a parcel via Evri.com, with one Clubcard point for every £1 you spend.

Joining Halfords’ Motoring Club Premium gets you 500 points, and recycling empty ink cartridges gets you up to 125 points.

Meanwhile, collecting fuel at Esso with Tesco Express will give you one point for every €3 spent.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “We have changed the way we conduct our customer surveys and are now contacting customers directly for their feedback.

“We encourage any customer who has feedback about their local store to speak to a member of the store team.”

Customers who respond to the email survey with their feedback will receive 25 Clubcard points and be entered into a prize draw worth £1,000 worth of Tesco gift cards

It is understood that the email will come from info@email.tesco.com and will contain the customer’s name as well as details of the store he or she recently visited.

But customers are expected to be randomly selected from the group of people who shopped in the store the previous day, rather than being able to choose themselves.

What can I get with the Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO’s Clubcard program allows customers to earn points while shopping.

These points can then be converted into vouchers for money on food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places such as restaurants and days out.

Every time you spend €1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers who use the loyalty card receive one point for every two liters they spend on fuel.

One point is equal to 1 cent, so for example, for 150 points you will receive a discount voucher of € 1.50.

You can double their value if you redeem them for discounts with ‘rewards partners’.

For example, €12 in vouchers can be exchanged for a €24 three-month subscription to Disney+.

Or you can exchange 50p worth of points for £1 to spend in Hungry Horse pubs.

Where you can spend them changes regularly and you can check the Tesco website to see what’s available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prizes if they have the loyalty card.

The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you pay a higher price.

These Clubcard prices are usually listed on the shelves along with the non-member price.

But it’s worth noting that just because it’s discounted, it’s not necessarily the cheapest out there, and you’ll need to compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up for a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.

Shoppers have opted in to being emailed and will receive a maximum of one survey per month.

Tom Church, co-founder of Latest Deals, said: “Tesco’s move to email surveys reflects a trend in directly engaging customers for feedback, potentially offering more targeted opportunities for Clubcard points, sales and discounts.”

“I imagine Tesco found it was the same people giving feedback over and over again, so perhaps they wanted a broader collection of responses.”

“To continue to have the opportunity to earn Clubcard points on surveys, customers should ensure they are signed up to Tesco’s marketing emails.”

“I use a separate email address to sign up for each store’s marketing emails. It’s a great way to collect discount codes, coupons and opportunities like this.”

“You have to be careful of spam and malicious actors masquerading as stores. If something sounds too good to be true, skip it.”
