The best fashion from the 2024 BAFTAs: what the stars wore
– The 77th British Academy Film Awards have kicked off in London – and that means the stars are stepping out in style.
Hollywood's biggest names converged on the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, February 18, to celebrate the best films, actors, producers and more from the past year.
Before entering the room to cheer on the well-deserved wins, the favorite celebrities showed off their fashion sense on the red carpet. We're talking flowing dresses, sparkling dresses and dazzling suits – all combined with glamor to remember.
Over the years, the BAFTAs have provided that Us with major fashion eye candy. Take princess Kate Middleton during the 2023 soirée, for example. The British royal, now 42, was a must-see in a whimsical Alexander McQueen dress paired with dramatic black gloves that provided the perfect contrast.
Fashion is of course not the only focus of the evening.
Nominees for this year's BAFTAs include Anature of a fall, The survivors, Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer And Poor things for Best Film. In the category Best Actress, Fantasy Barrino received a nod for her role in The color purple alongside Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a fall), Carey Mulligan (Master), Vivian Oparah (Rye Lane), Margot Robbie (Barbie) And Emma Stone (Poor things). Bradley Cooper (Master) is against Colman Domingo (Rustin), Paul Giamatti (the remains), Barry Keoghan (Salt burn), Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) And Teo Yoo (Past Lives) for Best Actor.
