If you’re dreaming of a luxury vacation but finances are limited, you’re in luck: a new tool has been launched to find cheap five-star hotel stays.
Travel site Kayak is new ‘5 star stems’ tool reveals ‘where travelers around the world can enjoy a luxury stay for less’ – with five-star hotel room rates from just £90 per night.
To create the tool, Kayak analyzed prices for five-star hotels in the most searched for destinations worldwide by British Kayak users, determining where the cheapest luxury stays can be found.
The new tool shows key information about the best times to book and the best months to travel, and highlights cities where prices for five-star hotels have fallen or risen.
Kayaking interactive map shows customers the prices of five-star hotels in select locations around the world. Travelers can simply tap on their desired location and see the average price of a hotel per night, as well as the average customer rating.

Using the tool, Kayak has revealed the top five cities in the world where travelers can book a great value five-star hotel in October and November 2023.
The cheapest destination of all is Colombo, Sri Lanka, where the average price for a double room is just £90 per night.
Followed by the Polish city of Gdansk in second place – where a five-star hotel room costs an average of just £91 per night.
Travelers can also enjoy stays from £94 per night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (third) and from £99 per night in Bogota, Colombia (fourth).

Kayak’s search data shows that despite the cost of living crisis, searches for five-star hotels are up 30 percent compared to last year.
