They’ve put the SEX back into Sex And The City for season two of And Just Like That

The ladies of Sex And The City were back together – and with plenty of nudity and mischievous behavior – for the two-part premiere of And Just Like That… season two on Thursday.

The first episode kicks off with a lot of bangs as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) strip naked in front of the cameras.

Miranda enjoys a passionate hot tub romp with her non-binary lover, Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez) in Los Angeles, while the NYC ladies call the shots with their men of choice.

Showing off her more experimental side, Miranda models a black leather strap-on for Che in the bedroom – but it doesn’t get any further than fitting.

While figuring out the afterlife of ‘Mr. Big,” Carrie finds herself in her wedding dress as her original look for the Met Gala turns disastrous.

This season also sees the return of new characters Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), and Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman).

The episode opens with Carrie and Seema talking about attending the Met Gala together – where they’ll also be joined by Charlotte, Lisa, and the ladies’ “gay BFF” Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone).

Carrie has her look tailored by her former podcast co-host Jackie Nee’s wife, but it’s not her dress she’s thinking about.

It’s revealed that Carrie slept with her handsome Sex And The City podcast producer Franklin, whom she kissed in the season one finale.

The morning after one of their many “Thursdays” together, Charlotte pays Carrie an unexpected visit and comes face to face with Franklin.

Charlotte wants all the details from Carrie, as does the rest of their friend group, but insists it’s low-key

After recording a podcast, Franklin invites Carrie to a rooftop drink with friends on “Tuesday night.”

Although she is flattered, the widower fears that her partner wants something more.

Later, Carrie calls Che – who is also her former co-host and Miranda’s lover – to ask them for advice on keeping her and Franklin’s relationship about sex and not “the roof.”

She also goes out to dinner with Charlotte, Seema, and Anthony, where she clarifies that Franklin is “not booty,” but more “having sex with a really nice guy every Thursday out of grief.”

Carrie still doesn’t know what to do with the rooftop date until she learns on the day of the Met Gala that her look isn’t finished yet. The only thing that is completed is the cape.

Because of this pressure and Jackie finding Franklin’s jacket in her bedroom, Carrie calls him and says boldly, “I think I’m only ready for Thursdays with us.”

‘Understood. You’re not ready to book a table at Relationship Place yet,” Franklin replies.

Franklin is totally fine with their sex-only date, signing off their call with, “Thursdays it is!”

With “Tuesday night” behind us, all Carrie can now focus on is keeping her Met Gala look from becoming a total disaster.

Unable to finish the dress, the poor designer begs Carrie to choose something from her closet to match the turquoise cape she’s been toiling over.

After thinking for a while, Carrie comes up with the perfect plan.

She pulls out the wedding dress and feathery veil she wore at her and Big’s wedding and wraps it around one last time with the cape wrapped around her.

“And so I repurposed my pain,” she signs.

Meanwhile, Miranda lives with Che in Los Angeles as they prepare to film their very first sitcom.

After a day of fitting and reading, Che comes home to find Miranda trying on the kinky strap-on harness they bought her.

“Is this a leash or a cat toy?” Miranda asks as she tries to strap on the bondage gear.

“Can we take this?” Che asks laughing as he stretches out on the bed.

Miranda says it’s “a lot of work” for something she’s not even sure she likes, but thankfully a phone call from Carrie puts an end to the madness.

While Che gave Carrie advice on Franklin, Miranda became a little turned off when she heard Che that “sometimes things are just about sex.”

She takes off the strap-on and, instead of a sexy encounter, decides to just have dinner with Che before Che performs at LA’s popular comedy club The Comedy Store.

Che declines the invitation as they want to work on some new “material” for their set.

After their stand-up show, Che is greeted from behind by Miranda, who wraps her arms around them.

‘Don’t kiss me. I’m at work,’ says Che sternly. Miranda, clearly a little surprised, blurts out, “You were so good!”

Miranda calls Che on their apparent distance over the past few weeks and Che decides to come clean.

They tell Miranda that they are “on a diet” because all the adjustments they’ve been getting for the sitcom have caused some major insecurities about their bodies.

Miranda admits she feared Che only wanted her for sex, but is relieved and also saddened to learn that Che doesn’t find them attractive.

“Che, you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen,” Miranda says as she sits over her lover in bed.

‘You know what? I am the most beautiful person you have ever seen. Damn it, TV!’ Che responds with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Charlotte goes to the meeting too, promising Anthony that he would be her plus-one, but those plans are thwarted by a mix-up.

Charlotte’s husband, Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler), somehow thinks he will be on Charlotte’s arm that night after mistaking Anthony’s tuxedo for his after it was delivered to their house.

Charlotte breaks the news to Anthony, who is not happy.

“I can’t take my gay best friend over my husband,” she tells him.

But it all works out as Carrie now has a plus-one open after Seema had to pull out abruptly to meet her boyfriend’s kid for the very first time.

Charlotte’s two children, Lily York Goldenblatt (Cathy Ang) and Rose Goldenblatt, or “Rock,” help her tie on her daring corset dress for the Met.

Anthony is suddenly without a ticket as Seema abruptly decides to go after learning that her boyfriend Zed still lives with his ex-wife.

Seema quickly leaves Zed at lunch but he runs after her to ask ‘where’ she is going.

‘To my house, where I don’t live with my ex-wife. This feels like a mess and I don’t miss the Met for a mess,” she says before slamming the car door.

But Anthony’s luck turns a second time when Charlotte calls to tell him she’s dumping Harry and needs him at the Met in 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman) feels a lack of affection because her husband Andre Rashad is on tour.

With only FaceTime calls to enjoy, Nya enjoys dinners alone and watching other couples share passionate sex on Netflix.

While reading and drinking wine in a restaurant one night, Nya is approached by a handsome man named Toussaint.

He is clearly interested in her and asks if he can join her for dessert.

“Have you ever had the molten chocolate cake here?” It will show you the face of God!’ he says.

Nya is in love, but shows her ring and he gets the hint.

She returns home drunk wine and tries to FaceTime her husband, but he denies the call.

Nya then calls him and forces him to FaceTime her – and she is shocked to see him in his hotel room with a backing singer.
