Top private school earmarked for Prince George at center of police investigation into ‘sexual assault’ by former teacher
A TOP private school destined for Prince George is at the center of a police investigation into an alleged sexual assault by a former teacher.
Marlborough College – attended by mother Kate, Princess of Wales – said it took the 1980s claims “extremely seriously”.

Last night a spokeswoman for Marlborough College told The Sun: “The College is aware that police are investigating a former member of staff following a report from a member of the public of a non-recent sexual assault.
“We take any allegation of this nature extremely seriously, regardless of how long ago it may have occurred.
“The College puts safeguarding at the heart of everything it does and the welfare and well-being of our students and staff always remains our top priority.
“We are in close contact with police as they continue their investigation.”
The £47,000-a-year Wiltshire school is in the running to provide this Prince George‘s high school education when he leaves Lambrook in Berkshire.
Kate, who was there from 1996 to 2000, took George, ten, to visit last year Prince William.
It is thought the alleged offenses relate to one of the guest houses.
Police said a man in his 80s had been arrested on suspicion of a “non-recent assault” at the school following a report from a member of the public.
He was released on bail.
